Music Seen: Get Ready To Hear A Lot More Of The Sound, The Sound, The Sound Of Youngblood Hawke

Youngblood Hawke is a five-person, indie pop act that hails from the Los Angeles area hipster enclave of Silverlake. The group is also VH1’s featured You Oughta Know artist for the month of March, and we got to know them quite well over a course of a day they recently spent with us here in New York City.

The band has yet to release their first full length LP, but audiences across the United States got to know their particular blend of upbeat, infectious music while they toured the country over the last few months with Keane. Additionally, their first single, “We Come Running,” inspired many Google searches this winter when it was featured in a series of American Idol promotional spots, too.

Our ace photographer Lauren Weissler spent the day with Youngblood Hawke during a recent visit to NYC, where they performed on Big Morning Buzz Live in the morning and at Radio City Music Hall that night. We’ll also be spending a lot more time with them when we’re down at SXSW next week, but before we do that, here’s the latest installment of our recurring photo series, Music Seen.
