Chris Brown Doesn’t Get Why People Keep Telling Him To Relax

In a lengthy post on his private Instagram, Chris Brown complained about how people keep telling him to relax all the time and ignore what people are saying about him, his fight with Frank Ocean and the latest news that prosecutors believe he violated probation by not completing his community service.

“Even if I did relax, I wouldn’t stop hearing about it,” he wrote in the post, screencapped by E!. “Im a human being and I honestly think I deserve respect im sick of being accused. Im Tired yall just dont understand Ive been going through this shit since I was 19 years cant sit here and tell me to calm down, when am I gonna get a positive outcome out of anything I do? When can I get that feed back? … I pray every day and night for a new outcome. … Just when everything seems to be going good, some new sh– happens. A day in my shoes is a day in hell, believe it or not!”

On the one hand, we totally believe that this is what Chris feels and understand being tired of this “hell.” On the other, this is just the latest complaint the singer has made that makes it apparent that he thinks everyone’s reaction to him is out of his hands. Can someone please explain to him that rather than pray for new outcome, he could attempt to do what’s in his control: Choosing not to fight in nightclubs or parking lots, not to snatch people’s cell phones, not to call openly gay singers “f—-ts,” not to throw fits on national talk shows…

“I’m not gonna sit here and play the victim,” he writes. Well, then, Chris, it might be time for you to sit there and play the changed man Rihanna says you are. In fact, that might be what your fans are urging you to do when they say “relax.”
