during which Quik, whose real name is David Blake, allegedly broke into the home of his sister, Debra Armstrong, 42, and assaulted her. A police spokesperson said two children and another adult friend were also home at the time and witnessed the incident.

Fontana police said on Monday (December 1) they don't know where the 33-year-old Quik is but they have contacted the Los Angeles Police Department to help locate him. Quik could face up to 10 years in jail if convicted of both crimes.

Police said the delay between the date of the alleged assault and the issuance of the arrest warrant was a result of needing to gather sufficient evidence.

Quik started out as a West Coast rapper in the early '90s but he's gained fame lately for his skills behind the soundboard. He produced the anthemic club single "Addictive" for singer Truth Hurts last year and has most recently produced tracks for Talib Kweli and Jay-Z.
