POTTER'S PROBLEMS Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels, finds our young hero in the throes of teenage drama. As Harry starts his third year at Hogwarts, the But as the plot unfolds, Harry's tumultuous inner-life turns out to be as much of a threat as the fugitive convict. Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry, explained to VH1 how he handled the intensity of some of the movie's scenes. "Harry feels the same as every other teenager, basically," he said. "Because of his past, he feels anger and loneliness more strongly. That was kind of hard for me, but because I am obviously feeling the same things as him, I took what I was feeling and exaggerated them [or] listened to music to get me into the right state of mind for the filming, and then just kind of hoped for the best." Radcliffe also predicted that the young wizard will die in the last, as-yet-unwritten book in the series. The character's fate in the seventh and final installment has been a closely-guarded secret, but according to the Melbourne Herald Sun, Radcliffe believes that J.K. Rowling might just kill him off. Speaking at a press conference, the young star said, "I'm going to be really unpopular for saying this about Harry, but I've always had the suspicion that he might die." Alluding to the close connection between the hero and his nemesis, the evil Lord Voldemort, he added "The only way Voldemort could die is if Harry dies as well." Rowling herself has hinted at a similar end. When asked whether she would continue to write about Harry as an adult she replied, "You have to wait and see whether he survives to be a grown up." If Radcliffe finds himself at a loose end, maybe he'll turn to music. Sources revealed to TeenHollywood.com that the teenage actor is learning the bass guitar and also has designs on being a singer. "I know that sounds weird, but I would really like to do it," he says. "I want to sing, but I play a bit of bass as well. My voice is OK." The Potter cast and crew are currently at work on the fourth movie in the series, while Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is in theaters today. The movie looks set to be another smash hit, having already broken box office records in Britain by taking over $9 million dollars in its first day of release.
