Who's kidding who? Valentines Day can't be just another date night. If you're headed to Olive Garden you're headed in the wrong direction. You need the bubbly and the boudoir to have the romance spill forth. We dialed around last week, asking a

handful of celebs about their most memorable Valentines Day ever. Here are the results.

Jada Pinkett Smith

Will's very romantic, so he's always doing something. But I remember we were really upset at each other one Valentine's Day. We had argued about something and weren't speaking. He said he had some business to do in San Francisco and would I go with him? He got a plane to fly us up and I went reluctantly. When we got to the hotel room there was a trail of rose petals to the bedroom and candles everywhere. And there ware rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed and he's looking at me like, "I'm sorry." That's pretty sexy. You go from one extreme of "I'm going to kill your ass," to that make-up place.

Last year on Valentines Day me and my wife weren't married yet. She was joking with me: "You're just gonna get the same old thing, flowers and a movie." So I picked her up and we started to do that, but on the way I said I had to swing home because I forgot something. She was on the phone with her mom when we got there and I said, "Hang it up, call her back." When she came in there were roses all over the house, champagne on ice in the bathroom, bubble bath in the tub, I had cooked some great Caribbean food on the stove -- she was shocked. And romantically, oh yeah. We got a baby on the way, now. It wasn't made that day, but we sure had it going on around then. We had a ball.

I'm not saying I don't date, but I've only ever had a boyfriend once on Valentines Day. So I've only been in one relationship that merited a Valentines Day present, and believe me, he got something real hot. I'm a huge fan of dressing up [in a sexy way]; I like to dress up for my boys -- dress up and stay in. A lot of high heels, and some little outfits that invariably become littler outfits, and then no outfits. He was a huge fan of the 1950s garter-belt lingerie. I remember that. This year I think I'm going to get something else from someone. I believe I've got a secret admirer. We'll see.

I've worked on Valentines Day for quite a few years in a row. So I've watched sexy people doing sexy things in front of me. Wow!!! Now that I think of it that way, it kinda turns me on. Grrrrrrr baby!!! But the most fun I had on Valentines Day was when I was in the fourth grade. Everyone in our class handed out cards to each other and I had a secret admirer. I would find out two days later his name was Bill, but for that one day when I didn't know, it was really fun. The surprise part of Valentines Day hasn't really worked for me...it's tough to surprise someone when you give 'em something on that day, cause they're expecting something. Maybe we should move Valentines Day to February 10th without letting the woman know. SURPRISE!!!

I would say the sexiest present I have ever given was when the man in question had previously told me that he admired my underwear - which was sticking out of my jeans one night. So that's what he got for Valentines Day. Thankfully he realized it [was from me]; he didn't think some random girl had had sent him her panties. What do I want to get this year? Come on, impress me boys!

Van Hunt

The sexiest present I've ever received was the red nightgown that showed up in the middle of the night. Standing in the doorway? Wearing just the gown? That was great. It wasn't one of those long, one-piece negligees - it wasn't very long at all. But it was very thin. Lovely. I make Valentines Day special with my winning smile and my charm; it has nothing to do with getting my girlfriend a cruise to the Bahamas. But yeah, I took my girlfriend on a cruise one time. I try to go all out, man. One other thing: I change toothpaste that morning, too.

Teddy Geiger

I don't think I've ever gotten anything private. I was in a relationship last year and the year before that. The first year I gave her gummy worms and a stuffed dog, and the second year I got a photo album with pictures in it. That definitely trumped the gummy worms! I think that year my gift involved a song of some sort. A song I think is truly romantic is Van Morrison's "Have I Told You Lately (That I Love You)." My parents love that song. I'm not in a relationship right now or else I'd sing to someone.

I had missed Valentines Day by 24 hours. I came home [from the road] a day late. When I walk in, there were candles everywhere, nothing but candles in the house. They led to the bedroom, where I'm sure you can imagine what I found and what happened next. When that happens, it's cell phones off, pagers off, no TV -- hey, you got a job to do at that point. For music, it's a Brian McKnight vibe. Anytime and I Remember You - just put 'em on and keep it going. I get more pleasure by giving pleasure than getting pleasured.

I don't know about Valentines Day. I'm thinking of my wedding gift from Carey [Hart]. It was some really cool dog tags that have our wedding rings on 'em and an inscription that says "til death." They are really chunky and heavy. That was two weeks ago that's why I remember.

Cyndi Lauper

Well, when I first met my husband, the first time we slept together was on Valentines Day. I was making a really bad movie in Miami -- and I didn't want to stay in the main hotel because that was where everybody was and we had no privacy and it wasn't great and fabulous and the rooms were small. So I said, "No, let's go to the Eden Roc." At that time it wasn't renovated. It was a kind of trashy-chic place, and you could still get a top floor room with a balcony. I remember that night because the moon shone through the whole room and lit the bed.

Anthony Hamilton

One time I ran my girlfriend ran a bubble bath. I had beautiful flower petals spread around the house and she had to follow them to where I was, in the tub, waiting. Then we shared an intimate moment ... where I gave her all my attention. Then last year, my now-wife gave me a candlelit serenade. She put on some good music -- a compilation of songs without a lot of vocals - and wore a host of different outfits. You want me to describe what the outfits were like? Let's just say they were nice clothes to serenade in.
