spotlighting the threat of global warming, using an array of stages around the world to bring music to the masses and generate awareness regarding the dire notion that the planet's getting way too hot.
With over 100 musicians participating on stages set in seven continents, the July 7 event follows in the extraordinary footsteps of Live Aid (Ethiopian famine, 1985) and Live 8 (global poverty, 2005). Organized by Al Gore and Kevin Wall, it addresses a "climate in crisis," teaching its audience about living greener lives and staying ecologically progressive.
VH1.com is offering live commentary on its blog during the action; we'll be watching the performances and providing opinions about the music and the message. MSN.com will be streaming the action during the day.
