Names kept getting shouted out from the DJ booth as the band set up for Rihanna's performance: " At around 12:30, Rihanna came out, wearing a short, sexy black dress. "Disturbia" was her opener. "Los Angeles, I know y'all know how to party," she said. "Let me know you're ready to party with me." "Please Don't Stop the Music" followed, as the singer pumped her fist to the club-friendly beat. "This next record is very special to me," RiRi said, and began singing a slowed-down chorus of "Umbrella" over acoustic guitar. "Ey, ey, ey," the crowd sang along. Oddly enough, Rihanna didn't perform the Timbo remix of "Rehab" but instead stuck to its original form. Meanwhile, Tyrese emerged from his spot in Timbaland's VIP area to walk in the crowd. Polow Da Don also mingled with the people while Keyshia Cole watched from the balcony. Finally, Timbaland got on, wearing his Davy Crockett hat and a bright yellow shirt. "L.A.!" he yelled. After he didn't get the loud response he wanted, Tim screamed again. "We ain't got no time for no bourgie sh--. I said, L.A.!" The DJ played One Republic's "Too Late," and during the band's breakdown, Tim injected some lyrics from "Smells Like Teen Spirit": "With the lights out, it's less dangerous/ Here we are now, entertain us." Keri Hilson came out for "The Way I Are," "Energy" and "Turnin' Me On." Tim ended his set playing new music from his upcoming Shock Value 2. Without mentioning any song titles, he just let the audience vibe to his bangers. Guess he got the reaction he wanted: One woman jumped onstage. She was horribly off-beat, but she started dancing nonetheless. This report is provided by MTV News
