John Mayer Can't Watch Justin Timberlake Imitate Him

Hollywood actresses — even other successful singers have taken note.

Justin Timberlake was the first guest on the brand-new "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" show, and a few minutes into the interview, the conversation turned to Mayer and his "guitar face." Before launching into his impression, Timberlake said, "John Mayer is like if Macy Gray and Smokey Robinson ... actually, Macy Gray and Smokey the Bear had a love child."

Timberlake's impression of Mayer singing his hit "Daughters" got the crowd — and Fallon — laughing before he also added, "He has the most amazing solo face. Literally his tongue takes over."

Although the joke had everyone around the water cooler talking the next day, Mayer has yet to see Timberlake's take on, well, him. "I didn't see it," he told MTV News at the One Splendid Evening event, a benefit for , in California. "I have a weird thing. I can't watch other people do my music."

But, it doesn't mean he's offended by everyone laughing at him. It really doesn't bother him at all. "I mean, I know the guy," he said. "I'm sure it was [funny]. I didn't feel any[thing]."
