earlier this week, and according to People.com, the actress "will be resuming production as planned with the rest of the cast in NYC," her rep said in statement. "She's back to business as usual."

Barton is expected to hit the set Friday with the rest of the cast, which includes "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu, after she was reportedly hospitalized at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for an involuntary psychiatric hold on July 15 for "medical issues."

On Monday her rep confirmed that Barton had been released from the hospital and was improving. "She was released early last week and has been improving since with the intention of resuming production with the rest of the cast [of her CW show 'The Beautiful Life']," he said in a statement.

E! News reports, however, that the actress is not scheduled to appear at the CW's press day or on the "Beautiful Life" panel at the Television Critics Association summer tour. According to the network, that is due to the "production schedule" and so "Elle Macpherson, Sara Paxton and Corbin Bleu will be the only actors at TCA from The Beautiful Life."

The show will make its debut on September 16 and revolves around the lives of models in New York City. "I can tell you right now, Mischa Barton is doing great," Ashton Kutcher, one of the show's creators, told reporters.
