Ring of Fire, the new Broadway musical based on the music of legendary recording artist Johnny Cash, is currently playing at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th St.)

March 31, 2006 - The Broadway premiere of Ring of Fire has partnered with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.  During the month of April, Ring of Fire will donate $1 for every ticket sold to VH1 Save The Music.  Ring of Fire officially opened on March 12th, 2006 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street).  

Ring of Fire was created by Tony Award® winner Richard Maltby, Jr. and conceived by William Meade.  Directed by Richard Maltby, Jr., Ring of Fire features musical direction by Jeff Lisenby and choreography by Lisa Shriver. 

From the heart of the songs of Johnny Cash comes a show about love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption. A company of fourteen multi-talented performers takes you into the world Johnny Cash created in his songs. Ring of Fire features 38 of the music legend's songs such as "Country Boy," "A Thing Called Love," "Five Feet High and Rising," "Daddy Sang Bass," "Ring of Fire," "I Walk the Line," "I've Been Everywhere," "The Man in Black," and his final hit, "Hurt."

Performance Schedule Information:
Ring of Fire will play on Tuesday - Saturday at 8:00PM and matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00PM.  There will be added performances on Sunday, February 12th and 19th at 7:00PM. 

Ring of Fire had its world premiere at the Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo, New York where it completed its limited engagement through October 9th, 2005.
