The organization also conducts awareness campaigns on the importance of music participation for America's youth.

Since its inception in 1997, VH1 Save The Music has donated nearly $30 million worth of musical instruments to 1,200 public schools in 80 cities, improving the lives of more than 700,000 children.

This is the fourth year that Jaci and Morris L. Reid have hosted the VH1 Save The Music Hamptons benefit, one of the most anticipated of the Hamptons' summer social calendar. Past artists have included Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish, Toni Braxton and Ashanti. The previous benefits have raised a total of more than $300,000, which is the entire goal for 2006.
