(October 1, 2006) - The first-ever "VH1 Hip Hop Honors Screening & After-Party to benefit VH1 Save The Music" in connection with the third annual "VH1 Hip Hop Honors," both taking place on Saturday, October 7th is expected to raise more than $100,000 for the charity with the help of a bevy of Hip-Hop's pioneers and luminaries: Afrika Bambaataa, Beastie Boys, Ice Cube, Russell Simmons, Rakim, Eazy E, MC Lyte, the Wu-Tang Clan, Ice T, Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson of The Roots, Common, Da Brat, Diddy, Erykah Badu, Fat Joe, George Clinton, KRS-One, Lil Jon, Lil' Kim, Mike Epps, OutKast, Remy Ma, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Q-Tip, Xzibit, Young Jeezy and more.

WHAT:   As VH1 is paying homage to Hip-Hop's biggest legends and visionaries with its third annual "VH1 Hip Hop Honors," the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will be entertaining a crowd at Providence (311 West 57th St) with the opportunity to watch "VH1 Hip Hop Honors", as it is taped at the famed Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Post taping partygoers will be joined by the show's honorees performers, presenters, and special guests as they continue to party into the night for the official VIP After-Party Hosted by WBLS Radio DJ Goddess Wendy Williams. All while enjoying open bar, food, and hot music by Special Guest DJ and DMC World Champion Mix Master Mike - all to benefit VH1 Save The Music.
