How to use lesson plans

VH1 Music Studio is a Cable In the Classroom initiative which provides schools in the United States with free access to educational television programs. Lesson plans are developed to coincide with each program. When teaching students to understand concepts such as "an artist/musicians ability to communicate messages and ideas through music," or about a "specific social change in history" teachers must provide students with examples of music and social studies for analysis. We will reference concepts in "Say It Loud: A Celebration Of Black Music In America," in the accompanying lesson available here.
