About Episode

In the early '80s, Scandal dominated the MTV airwaves with their pop-rock hooks and the sassy stage presence of Patty Smyth. But after a meteoric rise, the band lost member after member, suffering a slow and painful demise. In 1981, guitarist Zack Smith founded Scandal, whose lineup included bassist Ivan Elias, guitarist Keith Mack, Keyboardist Benjy King, drummer Thommy Price, and tough-talking vocalist Patty Smyth. The band’s raw vitality led to a gold record, making them an MTV favorite.

But during the recording of their second album, tensions flared between Patty and Zack. The band soon disintegrated and the scandalous accusations began. Finally, founder Zack Smith was edged out of his own band, leaving Patty to go it alone. After 20 years of separation, and the passing of bassist Ivan Elias, can VH1 convince the remaining members to reunite for one last concert?
