From "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to "My Heart Will Go On," every song on the list has helped define the past 25 years. Not only are we going to show you the best of the past 25 years but we’re going to tell you why and who says. The story behind each song will be told through interviews with legendary artists who created, or were inspired by the song. Prince, U2, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Guns N Roses, Britney Spears and Run-DMC are among the many artists featured.
The five-part program will follow in the tradition of VH1’s previous "100 Greatest" specials such as 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders, 100 Moments That Rocked TV and 100 Greatest Albums of Rock & Roll.
