Think what you will of J.Lo's voice or acting abilities, but hubbie Marc Anthony is one mean salsero. He hits most of the right notes as Hector Lavoe, salsa's greatest smack addict. Alas, Lady Lopez has a bit too much screen-time even for the most hardcore devotees. For anyone new to Lavoe's art, however, the soundtrack is a timely primer to his improvisational genius and larger-than-life vocal personality. Of course, Jenny from the Block needs a piece of the action, too, which is why she and Nelly Furtado collaborate on a new song, "Toma de Mi." A movie best watched with eyes closed.
