Full Episode Summary

Do you dare to journey back to a time when OP was fly and Jolt Cola was the next best thing? When The Fly was the grossest movie you had ever seen? We Double Dare you to watch "I Love 1986" ...so put on your finest LA Gear and let's go!

"All the sugar and twice the caffeine!" Jolt Cola was the weapon of choice for high schoolers taking with term papers, speed freaks and all-night truck drivers in 1986. Just ask the cast of Pee Wee's Playhouse...they must have been on something. As was George Lucas, when he came up with the brilliant concept behind Howard the Duck. A wise-cracking duck from outer space falls in love with Lea Thompson...comedy gold! Well, audiences thought otherwise and this cinematic achievement was one of the biggest flops of the 80s.

Luckily, Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger were heating up the big screen in 1986 in 9 ½ Weeks. Come on, you know you've memorized your favorite scenes....the refrigerator scene...Kim's strip tease...sex in the wet alley...just to name a few. And speaking of hot, who was hotter than Demi Moore in 1986? She sizzled with Rob Lowe in About Last Night and rocked little John Cusack in One Crazy Summer. And you thought her boobs were great then!

We've covered the sexiest stars--now how about the funniest? Eddie Murphy left our sides splitting with his portrayal of a private investigator seeking The Golden Child. "I-I-I-I-I-I want the knife!" And...if your rich, white parents won't give you the money to go to Harvard Law School...just pretend you're black! C. Thomas Howell crossed the racial divide and bagged Rae Dawn Chong in Soul Man, despite not even remotely resembling a real black man.

Primetime soaps were sizzling in 1986. Bobby Ewing came back from the dead on Dallas and it turned out that his death was a dream? Say what? Can they do that? The cast of LA Law kept us tuned in with its compelling courtroom drama and sexy cast. And the secrets of Al Capone's vault were sure to be amazing! Will there be dead bodies? Millions of dollars in cash? Just ask Geraldo Rivera what he found in there--it will shock you!

There was plenty of fun for the kids in 1986. Anyone up for a rousing game of Lazer Tag? Rainbow Brite was every little girl's best friend. Garbage Pail Kids were a gnarly response to the ubiquitous too-cute Cabbage Patch Kids. And the garment industry gave a shout-out to the left coast with LA Gear and OP clothing.

Two words: Michael Jordan. Need we say more? His stellar 63-point game against the Celtics in April of 1986 proved who was the man. And how much did you love your Air Jordans?

So come back to a time when Jon Bon Jovi's poodle hair was the hottest thing going, Dionne Warwick taught us "What Friends Are For", the Bangles managed to be sexy and "Walk like an Egyptian" at the same time, Paul and Chevy dueled it out in "You Can Call me Al", Gloria Estefan taught us how to "Conga" and Don Johnson was desperately seeking a "Heartbeat"...you won't regret it!
