K.Michelle is a singer/songwriter/musician hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. She has one son Chase, who is being raised by her mother. She was signed to Jive Records in 2008, and was brought to the attention of R. Kelly who became her mentor. K.Michelle was the only artist featured on R. Kelly's Grammy nominated album "Love Letter."

A gifted songwriter, she has had success with such hits as "Fallin', "as well as "I Just Can't Do This," which hit the top 20 in Billboard, and was voted a top video on BET's 106 & Park for over eight weeks. K.Michelle holds a degree in Psychology from Florida A&M, where she was voted "Miss Florida A&M."

K.Michelle is known for her real, in-your-face persona, and is set to take the world by storm with a new 5 record deal for Warner/ Atlantic.
