Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Erica was raised in Hempstead, NY, by her aunt and uncle who took her in when her mother's drug addiction became a serious issue. She's the youngest girl of nine siblings, among them six brothers, who shaped her into the tough, headstrong person she is today.

In the season one Reunion Special, Erica accepted Scrappy's marriage proposal, causing her romantic rival Shay Johnson to melt down. Will Erica and Scrappy's engagement weather the many personal and familial pressures put upon them?
