Harlow From Beyond the Grave
Despite their vampire image, Harlow provided Bands on the Run with a dose of girl power and attitude. Whether gorging at Emeril’s, bringing the sickness to Jenny Jones or trying to get booked at a bar mitzvah, the four ladies of Harlow not only stayed pals, they went back to the batcave playing better than ever. During a talk with VH1's C. Bottomley, drummer Rebecca Gibb explained the verities of an old rock axiom: what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
VH1:What was your first reaction on learning that you’d be leaving Bands on the Run?
Gibb: I don’t think there was really any moment when I went, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe we’re going home.’ I had a feeling we were going home. That’s why we didn’t try to pull out something fancy for the Battle of the Bands. We figured, ‘Let’s just play our hearts out and see what happens.’
