  1. Travis Winfrey, a multi-talented performer, can currently be seen in the role of the flamboyant fashion stylist 'Omar' on the VH1 series "Single Ladies" (Denise Vasi, Harold House Moore). Winfrey, who got his start, in what some may consider late in the game, hasn't had much trouble catching up due to his driven nature and business-like approach to the industry.

    Winfrey's first big break came when a music scout heard him sing outside of a club while he casually waited for his girlfriend. So So Def music got a hold of a sample CD of Winfrey singing cover songs, and asked him to join a boy band that they were developing. They had a great run for four years performing covers and original hits across the country. It was when he was performing at a mall in Syracuse that a member of the International Model and Talent Association in New York convinced Winfrey to read for a monologue, and the natural born entertainer nailed it. He moved to Los Angeles a began winning over casting directors on prominent television shows such as NBC's "Passions," Disney's "Hannah Montana," Showtime's "Dexter," and the hit variety comedy series "MADtv" is which he portrayed Marlon Wayans in "White Chick"s. He has currently stepped into the next leg of his journey by producing alongside acting in a brand new TV series "Breuckelen" and film "Last Hours."

    Winfrey, originally from New York City, grew up in a military family. His mother, of Trinidadian origin, always reminded him of the importance of education early on. He took the SATs in 7th grade, scoring incredibly high, was a Government page, captain of the debate team, member of The Advanced Placement Magnet Program, commanded Dunwoody's (4 time) National champion ROTC teams, was a state champion in Track and Football, and attended Georgia State University studying astrophysics. Winfrey always strives to succeed academically, athletically and creatively. He is still a dedicated musician with his rock band "Peach Tree Industrial," and draws, paints and writes in his free time. He admires the likes of Tim Kring (creator of "Heroes"), and the actor Ben Foster for their realistic and level headed approach to the industry, and hopes to one day be a dedicated producer and director.
