I was 6 yrs old when I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. I began guitar lessons the following week, and I've been making music for 47 years. John was the one who really got to me, and as I grew older - and he grew older - his lyrics and his message took up permanent residence in my brain and my heart. It is impossible to express John's contribution to the world; just as impossible to express the grief over his death. His murder is a profound reminder of the force of insanity that wants to wipe out any hope of peace and love. But John's word lives on in his music and his message. And that can never be wiped out. One day the world will achieve the peace and love John imagined, and the world will look back and recognize his role in that achievement.

My oldest brother got me into the Beatles & John Lennon at a very early age. I absolutely loved John Lennon and was devasted by his death. He was all about Peace & Love and his memory will live on in my life.

"Love your idols. We do." Really?! Is that why your programming today is dedicated to John Lennon? Oh, wait...it's not. On one of the most important days in music history, you'd think you could feature some mention of the man.

I grew up with John Lennon from the beginning of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, to the untimely death of John. I'll we need to say is "PEACE"

Is this a joke or what???John Lennon.....born,bred and started his career in ENGLAND....and VH1 won't let us watch this episode!!!Glad to see the Americans(as always)believe that everything belongs to them!!!John Lennon will ALWAYS belong to US!!
