Courtney Love is one of the most talented songwriters and musicians out now...... Her band never tried to be like nirvana.... and if im not mistaken Hole's Pretty on the Inside sold more than Nirvanas Bleach and Courtney Love had already been in various movies before she even started the band so she was semi famous before kurt was.... I love Nirvana but I believe that Hole is way too underrated and criticized way too much by people who dont know anything about their music like the guy below

@Robguitar7: Have you seen all the interviews with Kurt Cobain where he talked about suicide or killing himself? Also their is a Nirvana song called "I Hate Myself and Want to Die". Kurt Cobain originally intended to call the band's third studio album (In Utero) "I Hate Myself and Want to Die", and the song itself was originally going to be included on the In Utero album but was later pulled by Kurt Cobain. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I do not think he was murdered. I believe to this day still that he committed suicide.

I feel as though "Violet" is about Both Corgan and Cobain, and "Doll Parts" is about her frustration of sleeping her way to the top. Primarily being Cobain's hand maid. But she was definitely in the wings the whole time. Marriage is for better for worse, and she only wanted the best of all her significant others... That's why I feel it is difficult for her to have healthy relationships...
