I noticed that Dr Drew doesn't always glove when drawing blood or wash his hands afterward. That's very dangerous for him,his other patients and everyone else.
I'm sure that millions of viewers would line up in front of the tube each week to watch Dr Drew administer mild therapy to a bunch of groupies with mild emotional issues. Would be a huge hit during sweeps week.
Oh and I side with Joey on the phone/money gig. On her end, there was no "how are you doing? how are you doing in rehab?" "is everything going okay..." it was all about her.
YAH!!! You get'm Mac! Your so awesome I can't even begin to tell you!
Most of this is self indulgent nonsense. I feel sorry that they have issues and some of the stories made me cry, but they will never have a life without problems and people hurting them, that is life and it is hard, the constant blaming and anger and poor me gets old. I know Dr. Drew thinks he is helping them but really most of these people go back to using, and putting Sizemore and Fleiss together was only done for ratings and did not have their best interests at heart, I think that is unprofessional of DR. Drew.
I totally agree you, I would do anything to be a patient of Dr. Drews as well. I wish there was a show for people that are not really bad that they need treatment but just some tips and some counseling on how to deal with some issues because some therapists do not help at all and I feel like Dr. drew really would!!
Actually, Dannyelly-this happens a lot in recovery. In many instances, addicts who have a past are forced into the same rooms of AA, NA, CA...whatever A. The program works if they are both serious about recovery.
I Love this show.....However, I wish they would Have something like a reality rehab for people like me.What I would give to go to pasadena recovery with Dr. Drew.
why does dr drew have the ex druggies in the office they are soo unprofessional, holding and discussing the drugs for minutes and etc...... it was annoying to watch.....
love the car-beating scenes...I can relate :)
DISPHORIC, very well said...I love watching Dr. Drew and his crew, I wish I could have gone there when I was getting clean, again I agree with you on the issue of releasing the trauma and anger, I sure had a lot of it....
I love Heidy....she seems like such a good person and she seems like she needs a lot of love I really hope sha can saty sober when she get out of there and i wish her the best♥
Do you need attention by the look of your pic ? because if you need help theres lots of places to get it
Joe, fortunately you are not a Dr. and maybe should take some psychology classes on what releasing those emotions for some, in a safe environment can do. In a safe environment they are a loud to express and represent their emotional trauma and anger and get a lot of it. It's a release, it's not a therapy promoting violence, actually if you listen to them while talking when the patients are doing this, you would recognize that. There are so many different types of therapy, and different types of therapy work for different people. An aggressive and angry person may need something to exert that on, and doing so in a safe environment is perfectly fine. Most drug addicts have some sort of declining mental health and usually use to self medicate. Unfortunately not everyone gets the treatment or care they deserve and resort to self medication instead, i.e. drug and alcohol abuse. Learning coping skills and techniques to deal with their mental health issues and finding out if there is a significant chemical imbalance can help treat addicts. I didn't see the post everyone is talking about, but if someone is in crisis or needs help please know that there is help out there. I DON'T KNOW IF SHE PATRONIZING OR A SHARK. I can see how you might see that, but she seems like a tough exteriored kind of woman. I think she just sort works in this environment with a firm hand. Deep down inside she's cheering for these patients.

This season is really interesting so far. I am constantly touched by Heidi, McKenzie and Mindy. I hope Mike and Joey hang in there. All the therapists are amazing and down to earth, its their job to enforce boundaries with addicts when trying to get clean. Shelly's beeen there. I don't find her condescending at all. Lighten up guys.
