And maybe "the little girl" took advantage of him. She may be a mere 17 years old, but somewhere along the line, she learned how to manipulate, tease, attract attention and be a "rill" player..

I would have to say there is something different about Courtney's parents that they allowed their daughter to be a provacative sex symbol at such an early age - years before she even married Doug.

Courtney acts just like so many of the girls in my highschool, and to think any of the girls in highschool would be married to someone that old.. it's just ew ew EW!

That dude has a point though. If our society tells men that it is illegal to do this and that these females under the age of 18 are people you are not supposed to pursue or be drawn to or else you're a *********, and then you have this underage girl, with an old man who does not follow that, parading around in next to nothing in front of these grown men who are truly trying to work on their relationships with their women, then wouldn't you expect an inner conflict in those men between the attraction to a female figure that is almost completely exposed and the fact that she is still a child in the eyes of the law? Same thing with Britney Spears when she came out in that schoolgirl uniform when she was 15 or 16 dancing sexy and telling you to "hit it one more time", same thing with Brooke Shields with the advertisement a long time ago, same thing with teen girl porn where the girls are made to dress, look and act like young children, baby-sitters, underage middle and high school girls, etc. while having sex with someone who is unmistakeably a grown man. The messages are mixed and we wave these images in front of grown men's faces and then throw the book at them when they act on the desire that is inevitably stirred by that. Not to mention that, since men are so visual, that is nothing but a distraction to these people in therapy. This therapy is a joke. No real therapy would allow you to dress like that. It distracts the men and women in the other couples and hinders progress because of that. It is all for the ratings first, and the mental health of the people 2nd. If these people want real therapy, without distractions, they should visit a doctor who is more serious about making sure that every couple under her care gets the help that they need, rather than being treated by a fame and money-hungry b***h.

Look, I'm all for true love regardless of the age. Hearts aren't born on the law or the logic; love is terribly uncontrollable, and you don't get to choose its target. My problem with Courtney and Doug's relationship is that it seems utterly FAKE and staged for publicity stunts. He's an ACTOR; he could make any "truth" behind an emotion look convincing, as everything he mentions or defends his relationship I feel like I'm watching one of his films. It is nearly impossible for me to see how he's in love with her, when her entire personality is built around having absolutely NO depth or real humanity. Their personalities don't even mesh. She's like a one-dimensional doll, and they constantly interact on a sexualized level. How are we supposed to accept their relationship when he's got an underaged Playboy model on his lap? Not a normal girl, but a sexualized, superficial-acting chick? Of course people are going to judge! They both act shallow with each other! When it's real it should LOOK real! This however just does not add up.

People really need to leave Courtney and Doug alone. They are 2 human beings. Who cares about age. It was a LEGAL marriage. Besides, Rich is a freaking slime ball. If anything, he is the trash on this season! His website is so abusive to men and women. I have had a few friends, including my 17 year old niece HUMILIATED on his stupid site. I hope he keeps getting sued.

Shane, IS the kind of girl to marry a guy at "hello"....remember that little TV show the Bachelor ??? Well, her shotgun wedding is the same concept. She's a beautiful girl who lacks self worth, but screams "I'm desperate!" He poured drink on the mattress and she IMMEDIATELY cleans it up. Have some dignity.
