Jessica, Ken, and CaCee travel to Mumbai, India in Episode 3!
I love this show!!
Absolutely love the culture and music!!! Explore, Grow and Travel: CruiseAndTravelConcierge.com
Kait-face you couldn't have said it better!!!!!!!
it amazes me that no matter what show I watch...someone brings a racial issue up. Honestly, give it up and watch the freak'n show! We all are equal now, for crying out loud it's 2010! and if you feel like you're not equal, no matter what race, then that's you're own fault for chosing to feel that way and not further your life.
I swear, I cry every episode. And Ken is awesome (:
As a country we think of ourselves in a "box" and we don't realize really how different other cultures are to ours. I think it takes bravery and courage to go to other countries as a bleach blond American and try things others are afraid to or only dream of...This show is good and I will recommend it! I think we can all be a little naive when it comes to other cultures as our country is so critical and judgmental of others.
Guess they did not have time to discuss the incessant desire for whiteness and lightness in India. I guess they did not have time to discuss that Indians like women with curves like breasts, hips or a rear. I guess they did not have time to talk to Aishwarya Rai. Geez!
I don't have the time to sign up to websites just to comment, but this time how could I POSSIBLY NOT?!!?. 1st, you go, Rachel. My sentiments exactly...and I AM BLACK! We ALL need to RE-LEARN and USE some/more patience. 2nd, dancergrrrl, unil I see different in future episodes and stand corrected, I think you should probably re-watch the past episodes. The only "making fun of" that I see is of us...AMERICANS. When "WE" are OPEN AND OPEN-MINDED enough TO go to another country, with the intent to educate OUR nation, and being FILMED AT LEAST TRYING some of the things that THEIR culture holds dear...like EATING AN INSECT...I say "GO CAST and thanks!! Keeping in mind that we all have different mechanisms for dealing with stressful situations, (she STATED she did not think it would last that long...ever tried sitting that way for 15 minutes or more when you're not used to doing it?) we as a nation WERE made to look pretty bad when Jessica laughed during the religious cerimony. Knowing that other nations probably aren't as forgiving, maybe they'll edit that part out before overseas distributing takes place, as I hope it will.
i love the neti pot thing! hahaha!
They just run around making fun of the traditions of other cultures.
So instead of leaving the same comment on multiple posts I'll post one here and it isn't to be mean. 1) if you watch the previews you'll see that she does go to Africa, they only show a clip of the next location, not all of them! 2) The whole point is to explore other cultures and learn what everyone considers beautiful and how everyone defines beauty. 3) The season just started, she's only done 3 episodes so far! Give her a break, if she doesn't visit a country or culture you think she should have by the end of the season then say something. 4) Some cultures and countries may not allow her to record what she does while in their country. Not all cultures are as public as we are. I'm sure there are countries that may not welcome her or the crew. That is all, again, this isn't to be mean. I love her show but I am also interested in seeing where she goes, this is also only the first season. If they show everything in the first season what would she do for the next one? Love the show and hope it does well and is on for a while! :D
I agree, he is hilarious! Although I do think that sometimes he is a little over the top!
U KNO I HAD A FEELING THAT IT WOULD ONLY BE WHITE PEOPLE ON HERE AND VERY LIL BLACKS
LOVE MJ
Ken cracks me up!
yes people fail to realize that we have beauty here. you don't have to go out of the states to find beauty and acceptance
Although I love the show, my only concern is why we don't look in our own backyard for beauty? As a NATIVE AMERICAN woman I beleive my culture is overlooked. I feel as though our voices dont matter. We are beautiful people! I am Iroqouis Nation, Oneida Tribe of Indians from Oneida,WI. I jus hope one day we can be recognized as a race too. As NATIVE people our opinions also matter .
I love this show, is very interesting learning about what other people consider beauty, Jessica Simpson is a Natural, funny and witty. My question is what is that digestive tea about, I like to learn where can I buy or where can i get this type of spa therapy.
i love this show and i heart jessica, so cute
I'm confused if it is the culture in India or not, why was Jessica and crew allowed in the surgery room but not the father?
