I think Jessica could've handled the whole situation wiht her shorts being short a bit more calmly. She should've just laughed it off and be nice and play it cool.

I was looking fwd to this. but Im disapointed with the way it was handled or edited or something.....jess and her friend appear to be so disrespectful of being a guest in these countries...I watched this one and the thailand one, what ??? She says his hair looks like a *******? Well jokes on her not all the people speak one language like she prob' does, he may of heard her as may many of the others....but worse instead of showing cultures in reality and respect they play it up to stupidity and act like party girls its just stupid. Some of the commentarty is good, but its a shame they didnt leave it in or didnt act this way when there. I have liked Jessica in the past on things I just am shocked this how she wanted to be in this show. Or maybe her editors ruined it I dont know its jsut sad.
THE WHOLE SHOW have a lot of MISTAKE 1:on the video what they only show is moroccan covring themelves but in the truth the majority ESPICIALLY in marrakech city don't cover themselves 2: like other people said laila thought the short was a LITTLE BIT SHOORT not inappropriate 3: what'up with the camels i sweer a god when i was in marrakech i did not see one camel exept in the Suburbs 4:i hate it when in a show they show something as descusting like sheep brain IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T SHOW IT 5: where the hele is the modern marrakech the only places you show is the medina, were is "gulese" and "l'hivenage"and places like that WHEN YOU CAN SEE THE REALE MORROCANS the only good thing in the show is that they bring up "khansa batma" wich we love in morococo
To be honest I was very on the fence about Jessica until her show aired....I guess I never really took the time to see who she was. Anyone who would take this journey with an open mind and true desire to learn has all my respect. Leila was terrible OMG! Those three went there to learn and weren't judging them so why would she disrespect Jess like that? However I'm excited for the Japan episode!
Where do I start? I was born and raised in Morocco, I really had hard time watching this episode which i thought was cringe worthy TV material. I was so anxious and excited to watch the price of beauty "Morocco" episode that turned out to be a big disappointment for me..So I prepared a nice cup of mint tea set comfortably on my couch ready for "the show"; for the first segment they had a classy beautiful Moroccan artist "khansa batma" do the intro (I was like YES! I'm liking this so far); and as the episode unfolds I start sinking into my all of a sudden not so comfortable couch...First the old lady that didn't want to shake hands with Ken, which is considered to be disrespectful in my country,if you're open to have a man in your house then you should be OK to shake his hand..SCRIPTED or just pure HYPOCRISY? I really dunno I'm confused at this point! And then you have the whole leg and cleavage drama (not again i need a breather) I have to admit the dumb-dumb translator misinterpreted Leila saying that she finds her look to be inappropriate, what she really said is that the shorts were a bit too short not that it's her business, I'm Moroccan and I wear even shorter shorts and roam the streets of the medina and nobody would care, plus her DD's were almost poking the cameraman's eyeball so again I don't see why she intervened..SCRIPTED or HYPOCRISY? The show creators definitely missed on showcasing the true Moroccan beauty,the passion respect and mostly their open-mindedness to opinions and other cultures. It ticks me off a bit when the media portrays us as camel rider, belly dancer,veil wearing woman. Since the show is about beauty therefore TRUTH, I really wished they showed the real nowadays Morocco: Fabulous, Fun Fashionable and definitely not F*** up! Casablanca movie days are long gone. ps: the Caftans they had them wear on the show were horrendously funny. Truly urs a rocking Moroccan.

Jessica was there to learn about them and understand.. She did not judge anything about them or there culture. And still held her composure after that lady disrespected her.. I agree there needs to be some respect Jessica did nothing wrong she dressed as anyone in the U.S might dress its part of our culture to choose what we wear and sometimes we dress modestly and sometimes we dont .as for there culture it seems that everyone in morroco wants woman to dress modestly even the woman in morocco who dont dress modestly are told to dress more modest.I thought it was quite rude for that woman to come out and just put her down for what she wore when the boobs were sticking out popping out of her shirt omg!! hello is she a frickin porn star or something??? jessicas legs were showing big whoop.jessica had respect she wore the style of clothing and covered up during the show she didnt have to but she wanted to.

I think Leila was inappropriate with the way she carried herself.. she was such a hypocrite, probably giving Morocco women a bad rep for this... She should have tried to be more open minded about the cultural differences between the U.S. & Morocco. However, not everyone is as educated as others
Hi, I am an arabic teenager and I believe that lady was very rude and just jealous of Jessica. I show some parts of my legs, arms, stomach, any part of my body and I dont care what people think. The way she looked at her she was judging meanwhile her boobs were popping out with some heavy cleavage in her shirt. Jessica did a perfect job with maintaining herself and giving her a stab of a comment! Many people arent like that too bad it was portrayed that way on TV!

Leila, is that her name? I would react the same way if she told me that I was dressing inappropriate in that attitude of hers. Jessica had no idea at all that it was inappropriate to dress in shorts, since it's absolutely normal in the US. She only knew women in Morocco wear veils etc. to cover themselves up. I don't think she did it intentionally. Leila was the one judging them, and not respecting Jessica's culture.
I love the show, I watch it weekly..I think it's great to show young women all different cultures beauty, I think that lady leila was extremely rude, just jealous. Love you Jess
I think Jessica is a beautiful person inside and out. As far as the comments about her behavior and dress, she was not judging their culture, but they were judging ours. She was not at all making fun of them. And yea, she may have acted goofy about the brains but they were at a table not right infront of everyone! And I'd be grossed out too! I can't believe she did it. lol She's a good person, i'm glad she had this experience!
