04 "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" not sure why they skipped it in the archive
04 "New Wave of British Heavy Metal"
The movement began to grow and was spearheaded by the likes of Motorhead, Diamond Head and gained even more momentum when Iron Maiden began packing local clubs and later went on to sell millions of albums. The media and record labels could no longer ignore these bands and this became a major force in music that had to be reckoned with and was dubbed as the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Other notable acts which were part of this included Saxon, Tygers of Pan Tang, Angel Witch, Raven and Praying Mantis. The candle of NWOBHM began to flicker with the emergence of the glam band scene in the US although Def Leppard thrived in this environment as they had diverged into a more mainstream radio-friendly sound. However, it had a major effect on another movement in heavy metal music that was developing across the sea: Thrash.

Glam metal is my favorite genre of metal, great episode
Okay it just skipped from episode 3 to episode 5 and there is no listing for an episode 4. What gives? Does anyone know?
Wait... MTV used to be TWENT-FOUR HOURS full of music? I thought they were always about reality and dating shows... I couldn't even find Headbangers Ball anymore. I never thought the music itself was bad, but I hated watching the videos. I'd prefer the bands looked more like Whitesnake than the other bands. At least they looked masculine.
@purometal Advertisements will forever break us away from the show, it is what makes them money. What's worse, I think, is having annoying ads on other sites with the own videos. I would watch something and I hear something else talking about diapers from nowhere, only to see another video at the bottom of the page.
awesome
Once again, beating online viewers to death with the same advert over and over and over again, even after pressing the 'continue to program' button only to get the same exact advert another 3 times. This will only guarantee that I will PURPOSELY REFUSE TO BUY that product or attend that movie. Please, get it together with you online etiquette VH1
