Sebastian Bach finally graces That Metal Show with his presence to discuss his new record deal, plus ANVIL returns to talk about their new record.
1. Kix - were big but not huge. Better 'Band' than Poison. Not an 'Act' like Poison was.000a2. Winger - OK bit never 'Huge' - as good a band as Megadeath or even Rush - almost Metallica - just no act.000a3. Rhinobucket - still out there - as good as AC/DC - just need an act - or not. GREAT band.000a4. Firehouse - great band with success outside USA - never 'huge' in USA.000a5. Four Horseman - great band and act - mix between AC/DC and Hatchet - what happened ?

And here are the B'zz on American Bandstand. Notice a very young Steve Riley (Current L.A. guns drummer)..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvX5F12olDI
Here's a nice little segment on the Boyzz.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p20U81eYE5A
My top 5 bands that should have been huge. The B'zz (Featuring Steve Riley on drums), The Boyzz, who both were signed to Epic Records but whos career was cut short because of manager issues and drug busts. Also Blue Murder, Status Quo, and Thin Lizzy. Yes Thin Lizzy never caught on nearly as well as they did in overseas. Its a shame that the are really only a one hit wonder here in the states. Most people only know of them because of "The Boys are back in town." But they had so many better songs than that. Such as Cold Sweat, and Still in Love with you.
My Top 5 Bands That Should've Been Huge: 1.Tora Tora 2.Arcade 3.Drivin N Cryin 4.Trixter 5.Blue Murder What do ya think, Eddie?
Love the show never miss an episode. On the list of bands that should have been huge Kingdom Come Hurricane Flotsom & Jetsom Fireball Ministry & Zebra all should have been big headliners.
I just watched the episode with Sebastian Bach, What a *****. He is the first and only guest you have ever had that I hope you NEVER invite back. I completely understand why his band broke up now and I will never support any future work he vomits out. By the way, I LOVE YOUR SHOW. It is great to see three guys who love rock so much exchanging great conversation about it every week. Keep up the great work
Sunset Strip bands of the 70's that rivaled Van Halen back in the day but never got the recognition: #1) A La Carte (HARD rockin with a blues edge). #2) Smile. #3) The Mechanics (the original thrash metal band, before there was thrash). #4) Snow. #5) The Runaways...just to mention a few. All the so-called "Metal" bands of the 80s and beyond owe everything to the aforementioned hard rocking bands! FYI: The term "Heavy Metal" goes back to the 1960s, kids. Metal didn't start with Sabbath nor did it start in the 80s.
Any real metal fan would have to agree, Into Eternity is one of the most under rated bands period, just listen their first album. The Chance (early 90's shanked after the Nirvana rush) Savatage (come on guys, Savatage is so under rated its sick). Anvil (with the proper producer). Fates Warning (killer band, could have been huge). Sorry guys Tora Tora, Y&T and bands like that weren't metal, those guys were Rock, big difference. You gotta get this straight
Top 5 Bands that should have been huge: 1.) The Runaways 2.) Mercyful Fate 3.) Rose Tattoo 4.) Angel 5.) Slash's Snakepit. Oh and don and Jim, EDDIE is right! Those bands were huge and don't deserve to be on the list! I don't CARE if they didn't have worldwide tours, they still had major hits! Especially Cheap Trick!!!!! By the way Eddie, I'm gonna buy your new book, once I have the chance. You are a TRUE man of metal! Respect!!!!! {||||B-)
My top 5 bands that should been huge: King's X 4! and the Smithereens!
