Amy Fisher meets with Dr. Drew for the first time, where he learns she blacks out every time she drinks.
Could Amy Fisher PLAY A VICTIM and CRYYYYYYYY ANY MORE!!! I am SOO sick of hearing and seeing her crybaby act and playing the VICTIM role on this show!
I love Dr. Drew, but just lost respect for him for condoning having Jen and Steven Adler together on this new show. This is truly unethical after what happened between them on Sober House. Adler should have been arrested for A & B along with the possession charge for what occurred with Jen. No rehab I am aware of would allow a client who had assaulted a staff person back when that same staff person was still employed there. In order to be effective, I think Jen needs to seriously deal with her own trauma issues. She is too easily triggered and interjects herself and her issues inappropriately onto the residents on a regular basis. But it's all good TV, right?! Drew opened up a can of psychotic worms questioning Bai Ling about her trauma, as evidenced by her being up on the roof. There is A LOT more than addiction going on there. I hope they all get help and grow.
I can't believe that the ads that are running are for Stoli/vodka. There's clearly an irresponsible disconnect at VH1. Dr. Drew can't be happy.
When I was first exposed to recovery I fought everyone trying to defend and justifying my using. I lied denied and tried to hide my using. Then I tried to control my using, never worked before [this is the definition of insanity].But even after many relapses I was told just keep coming back. After another relapse I sat in a NA meeting when a young girl stood up crying and said she didn't deserve the key tags for 30-60--90 days clean because she used last night. The people in the group gathered around and told her it was OK to keep coming back and she wasn't alone and it get better. This is a spiritual program based on spiritual principals and that girl displayed courage to stand up to tell on her disease to get honest about her using and the group displayed unconditional love and acceptance to welcome her back. The answer is in the steps, that I didn't understand, that is why one needs a sponsor to guide and explained in a way that I did. Early on I was told work the steps or die....to keep coming back, read the NA Basic Text, those that go to meetings stay clean, that alcohol is a drug,be of service/help to others pick up the phone and call someone in the group and a thousand more such tools to recovery. Thanks to people in the rooms of NA, like those on this show, I have been and continue to be clean for 22+years
Benny what is your problem? Dr Drew is spot on, the real deal. Addiction is a disease and addicts end up dead. Recovery is a process, a daily choice that those in recovery have to make over each & every day. Sometimes multiple times per day. It is an all too true reality that addicts relapse and die. It is chilling, that addicts that do not maintain their sobriety destroy themselves and everything around them. Maybe it would be better for youuu to think, but for the grace of God there go I. I thank God for Dr Drew, is a part of my sobriety and I apprciate the work he and his staff do...they help me stay sober.
