Steve made a great point that it's not how crazy/embarrassing/awful/unsupportive your family is, it's about how you handle the situation (as with everything else). One girl's dad broke out the old family photos, one girl's mom pressured her date into being step-dad to her grandson, and another's family didn't show at all.
