All three bands play one last show, but only one gets to play the Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp encore. Watch the full episode!
Hello All of you reality junkies! This is Ben, the bassist from Firecracker Inst. with Kip Winger. First, thanks for all the kind words and support for our band and the original, Bury Me Alive. I wrote that riff based on a picture of my brother n law in Iraq (thats were the middle eastern vibe came from) They just got done shooting season 2 and I think you will enjoy!!! Feel free to hit me up on fb, Ben Romzek. God bless and KEEP THE FAITH!!!!
Hi ya all..yeah, it's reality tv..but editing or no editing, lousy singing or great singing,..This show changed my life. I'm really thankful for the opportunity to grow, face some fears and continue the musical quest. Hopefully the new season rocks another group of musician's lives and encourages them to rock harder than they ever dreamed! All the best wishes to the new campers!
Perk is singing with Brett Micheals, but he's screaming over Brett's voice the whole time.
I still think you have great writing skills. I have none! Had Billy Sheehan been in the mix he would have also added some humor. I think the show lacked that in allot of areas. Although the PS had it rough, that looked like the most light hearted fun group. Seems the producers tried to edit humor and didn't do a good job. What I really could not stand is the crying. I have played in guy/girl bands and have never had girls ball their eyes out. That got old and the producers could have edited that better.
Thanks Brando. Yeah, I was expecting the original panel with Billy Sheehan and company from the first episode to return in picking a winner. Hopefully, if there is a 2nd season of the show, they will fix this oversight and have industry professionals pick the winner.
Are you a writer? I enjoyed reading your post. I agree with you on a number of things - The editing was slightly bad at times, choosing the bands by applaud was not a good idea and not sure why the producers would have done that??? They should have had the original panel of judges vote. Lastly, Heather Williams needs her own reality show!
Why would we need to contact you?
i was at the finale, and you are exactly correct. Tugboat circus was a trainwreck. the vocals speak for themselves. Firecracker had the most and longest applause BY FAR! But, the producers edited the results to suit their needs, which was to highlight the Mark-the-clown-Hudson as transformer who took his band from crap to awesome. Ah, the magic of TV. Rock n Roll Fantasy camp was a fantasy when it came to actual results.
I really want to thank those who supported us on the show and feel free and email anytime for any questions or to just chat. joe@sinivision.com
Episode 5 (Season Finale) .................. Guest: Bret Michaels and Robert Knight (Photographer)................. Rudy Sarzo is just a cool dude. I liked that he got emotional with the connections that he made with his band. It just goes to show the power of what music can do: unite people of all walks of life and backgrounds................... As for the episode and the eventual winner, I was shocked that Tugboat Circus won. Not that they didn't deserve it for their performance at the finale, but because of where they came from. The band was painted as a complete train wreck at the start that having them win it at the end would be unfathomable. I really don't know who the "Best band" is of the 3, because the show is edited a certain way and we were not there to see them perform live. And we also don't know which band had the most family and friends in attendance to tilt the "voting" in their favor. When they did the applaud for the band you think should win, I did a facepalm. That's how your going to decide who wins? A room full of drunk, hyper people by nature are going to whoop and yell and scream. I had expected actual music professionals to vote on the outcome. Oh well.................... FYI, even though Tugboat Circus won, Firecracker Institute had the best original song in Bury Me Alive................. P.S.......................... Watching Heather and her moves had me rolling on the floor. So unintentionally funny on her part. Oh brother.
ITA. FI was tight from day one - by far the best of the three musically speaking. TC just barely edged them out on the strength of their original which had a bit more to it than FI's. I also think Kip's teaching style is way better than Mark's who came across as condescending and belittling at times. Kip always treated his band with dignity and respect while still bringing out the best in each of them. Great series - hope more is to come...
Firecracker Institute got robbed, in my humble opinion. Just didn't care for Janine's singing at all. I'm sure with the right songs she'd be great but none of the songs except MAYBE their original composition, suited her voice.
