Her attitude is part of her RECOVERY people, please understand this. Its not our place to judge, but rather to encourage. Its addiction, its recovery, it takes a LONG time.

God Bless all the patients and staff....Sorry to go against the grain a bit but I actually believe that Kari Ann has a point ( Yes, she is a spoiled-to-the-core brat!! )....Dr. Drew and the female therapist come across as "smiling" or puffing their lower lips out in some kind of empathic gesture, but it just doesn't look sincere (which would cause me to protect my soul and/or challenge them re: their methods). So, even though the patients have tremendous shame over their actions/addiction, it does not give the staff the "right" to convey any sense of pride or arrogance in their approach and treatment techniques. In other words, just because the staff aren't actively living out a lifestyle of sexual addiction doesn't mean that they have "arrived" or are so mature in every way (character?) either. It is EXTREMELY valid for those who have been abused to be suspicious and guarded and self-protective towards those "helpers" out there.....addicts have tremendous shame AS WELL AS a strong attitude of survival deep down in their hearts. That should not be overlooked nor should they be disrespected through arrogance. Other than that, Kari Ann is incredibly rude and selfish....God Bless that older staffwoman in dealing with her.

Blah, that supposed "love" Phil feels for Amber is completely superficial and based on appearance. Were she the exact same person but 300 pds and covered in acne, he wouldn't think twice about her, which is pretty sad and pathetic when you think about it. All that surface crap is one of the main reasons these people wound up in this place....
