More drama this week for the patients and staff. Watch the full episode!
I agree. I hope that poor Selma was able to find a good job someplace else, where she was treated respectfully and her skills and talent honored. She didn't deserved to be fired. And none of the staff should have to tiptoe around these prima donnas. 000aIf somebody is screaming and violent towards another person in public, are usually arrested and placed in jail.
I totally agree with you. I know it's a year later since you posted this, but I'm just watching this now, and while I'm sure that the show and facility fired Selma due to possible liability...I still don't agree with them for firing her. They should have kicked out Kari Ann after giving her maybe three chances to get with the program. There are many people with a horrific past, who proceed with their own recovery and respect the rules. Addicts act out, but Kari Ann was allowed way too much free rein and it was ridiculous that she was allowed to remain,
I'm honestly surprised that Kari Ann didn't get whacked earlier.
Let me start off by saying that it is inspiring to see some of these people recover. I think the show in general can teach a lot about addiction and recovery. I think it is easy to see who is willing to work on their issues and who is not. It is troubling to see so many 'chances' given to someone (Keri Anne) and in the process putting the others at risk. I don't believe Selma should have been terminated; maybe reprimanded, suspended and given retraining. But Keri on more than one occasion was threatening and abusive towards everyone, and Selma was just one more person in Keri Ann's cross hairs. Keri was allowed to escalate from day one when she was combative at intake. I think when the administration, including Dr. Drew allowed that type of behavior to continue, they enabled Keri's out of control behavior and put the staff and patients at risk both in the recovery process and in their basic safety. What if someone had been hit by that vase. The conversation would have been very different. The recovery house needs to protect staff just as much as the patients. When a patient refuses services and is allowed to continue to act in a dangerous and abusive manner they should be ordered to leave immediately. How many other people have to be harmed trying to coax an abusive person into rehab when they are clearly refusing services? It is negligent, dysfunctional, and damaging for a facility to carry on such a backwards policy.
Hilarious. At the end of the day, the one thing that can unite the cast and override their hatred of Keri Ann is that no filthy staff people are allowed to so much as touch them. Their sacred persons must be honored. These people are narcissists and celebrities first, "recovering people" second if at all. We've seen Duncan Roy belittle a staff person with withering contempt, and after his stay in rehab and tears shed over his traumas, he will no doubt go forth and continue to treat the little people in his life as no more than the mud on his shoes. I wonder if it ever occurs to these preening assholes that the people in their lives who aren't part of their bubble are human too, with their own traumas and grief? I'm guessing not, since they are users in the most fundamental sense, and other people only have meaning insofar as they are of use-- as sexual objects, as mirrors, as a means to an end. Staff people, wait people, assistants, managers, lackeys and sycophants are just trash, there for whatever they can do for you and then discarded. It makes me literally ill to listen to these people making a temple of their wounds and victimization as a means to further their own sense of privilege and uniqueness, when they are so clearly incapable of even passing empathy for anyone that isn't positioned to further their careers or appetites.
phil varone is a weak *****.
i think all her drama and stuff is just her tryin to not let people get to close to her cause she was raped so much is like she wants to be on the attack all the time
I'm sure she is referring to the staff when she says ghetto. And from what I can see it's mostly black people. This heifer is racist, inappropriate and spoiled. I have gone through some of the same things these people have and multiple times, I have seen people die in front of me and still there is no way on earth I would even think to treat others the way she did. This was horrible
OMG....Are u serious....the staff member is in trouble for defending herself..KariAnn u should be ashamed of yourself. Grow the hell up..your a spoiled brat & they should kick your ass out. Who do you think you are to act like that.
Y DOES KARI ANN GET AWAY WITH SO MUCH ISH?!?! She doesn't go to group, she barely participates, she has repeatedly said she doesn't want to be there, I understand she has gone through a whole lot in her life, but so has everyone else on the show and they do not act half as disrespectfully and stupid as she has, this is not the appropriate treatment for her and she is making it extremely difficult for everyone else who is there to really help themselves, and the fact that dr.drew gives her so many chances really makes the show seem more like a joke and a ratings thing instead of a program to help people, which very well may be the case. this is a huge problem with our society which is that we give spoiled obnoxious people special treatment (because they are "celebrities") and then they act all f-d up and we wonder why there are girls like lyndsay lohan in the world... because they have no boundaries whatsoever and they don't suffer the consequences for their actions like "regular" people do, kari ann absolutely assaulted selma and selma should have pressed charges on her instead of attacking her back.
man that Kari Ann makes an ass out of herself!!! lmao!!! what a freaking drama queen!! embarassing just to watch her ;(
The only reason the situation with Selma never should have happened is because either Drew should have gotten rid of Kari Ann long ago or he should have nipped all that "special treatment" behavior in the bud early on. Kari Ann got away with way too much, especially with the way she treated Selma. And I think it was wrong of them to expect Selma to deal with Kari Ann every single day by herself--she's too difficult, and of course she reacted to Kari Ann throwing a vase at her (I don't care what Kari Ann says--she threw that vase in Selma's direction, and she could have thrown it anywhere else), especially the way Kari Ann had been treating her. And like mortflame wrote, all Kari Ann had to do was get up when Selma said it was time and none of this stuff would have happened. Kari Ann provoked Selma, and big ups to Nicole for speaking out and also, as far as I saw, not apologizing for it. I don't blame Selma, I honestly don't...not to say she shouldn't have been fired, but, again, Drew let it go on too long and then fired Selma for it. I know most people won't get this, but I really just suspect Kari Ann is racist, with all those "ghetto" and "Omarosa" comments, treating Selma worse than everyone else put together and never even speaking to Nicole unless Nicole speaks to her even after she started getting cool with others there.
OK here it is I know that Kari Ann has problems and everyone else dose to but I am sure that deep down she is a nice person. When you have addiction problems it is hard for you to deal with real life such as with Kari Ann. Btw she used to be engaged to AARON CARTER.
I cant believe how bad they made Selma look to the other patients after Kari Ann threw a vase at her... The woman may have been on her about getting to group but isnt that what she's there to do? whats the point in committing to rehab if you arent even going to try? a lot of people would kill to be able to get that kind of help, and shes pissing on it and its apparently ok.
All these ghetto ppl HA! lmao this girl is a trip!
I am so DONE with Kari-Ann! This makes the WHOLE PROCESS a joke because they PUT UP WITH HER! It makes Drew a joke, the WHOLE process of therapy and helping PEOPLE a joke.
Kari anne you are such a waste of space in rehab. They should get her out of there and put someone in there that really wants to be there.Dr Drew you are just a joke
give kari anne a break.... i was in iraq and saw my men in my squad die in front of me... people havee more issues then you would think and she was sexually abused at 8 by neighbors and family members... unless youve been in her shoes DONT JUDGE
Selma deserved to get sacked and Kari Ann should have been transferred to another facility then and there, Because it's clear that a three week shake and bake on camera treatment wasn't working.
Ok so she's going to continue to be aloud to act like a spoiled brat? Not be held responsible for her actions and the results of them? She played on the situation and acted like a 2 year old. I feel sorry for her abuse but she has to deal with it and has come on the show to do that yet she continues to refuse the help she is being offered. I don't think she feels a bit sorry for the women losing her job. Yes, Selma broke the rules, but Car A still is partially responsible for the outcome by her actions. She needs to understand her actions were unacceptable, and be responsible and own up to it.
