i believe dr. drew is doing great things, but what about those of us out here that want to get help but cant afford it because we dont have insurance or the money? believe or not there are ordinary everday people struggling with this disease, not just celebrities. where is the tv show that helps them out???? that puts them in rehab? instead of those that can afford it ten times over?????????
Is this all a show for TV? We need to see real life experiences,not people trying to make money.

MACKENZIE IS AN INSPIRATION SHE DEALT WITH SO MUCH GROWING UP..HOW WOULD YOU HANDLE THE SITUATION SHE WENT THROUGH GROWING UP..SHE HAS ALOT OF COURAGE AND DETERMINATION IN HER..SHE DEFINETLY TOUCHED ME AND IT GOES TO SHOW THAT ANYONE CAN OVERCOME THE PAST..PEOPLE THAT JUDGE ARE DUMB..BEFORE YOU SHOULD MAKE FUN OF ANYONE OR JUSGE ANYONE, TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELF..BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY, FOR YOU TO PUT SOMEONE ELSE DOWN, GOES TO SHOW YOU HAVE NO SELF-ESTEEM OR CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF THATS WHY YOU CHOSE TO MAKE FUN OF OTHER PEOPLE CUZ IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER! THINK BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING NEGATIVE! THESE PEOPLE ARE BRAVE AND HUMAN BEINGS....THEY DESERVE A CHANCE JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE! DR. DREW IS A GREAT PERSON AND I AM GLAD HE AND HIS STAFF ARE TAKING TIME TO HELP EVERYONE ELSE...THOSE ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE WE NEED IN OUR LIFE EVERYDAY!
I think Mackenzie is a miracle and an inspiration! Nobody has any right to judge her! She has seen and been part of things as a child that no child should have to go through. Her innocence and whole childhood was robbed from her and she had no choice. If you dont like her then dont watch her. Her message is not for you, but it is for someone, or maybe you see something in her that reminds you of someone you know. ( Like yourself) they say what you hate in other people is a reflection of what yopu see in yourself. I guess you should take your own inventory before focusing on hers. For all that she has gone through, I say god bless Mackenzie. Her spirit runs deep, and that I think is the source of her success. She has immersed herself in the language of recovery, she seems to stay right in the moment and that, mi amigos, means so much more than her physical appearance. **** that!
Substance abuse will take a real tole on a person both physically & emotional. There fore aren't we fortunate that rehab isn't based on your looks. Trust me most people don't look good going into treatment. I also believe that in rehab you must focus on the postive while trying to overcome the negative. I think MacKenzi is being postive and being part of the team and try to reach out to others. Kari Ann on the other hand seems to only relate to negative attention, was just mean to the other patients and the staff Her temper tantrums seem to just be a way to get attention. I don't believe that her actions entitle her to special treatment. In rehab you have to be part of the solution. By not going to group and the other activities she really is only hurting herself. Makes me wonder if soberity is her main priority. I do believe that the others are serious about their recovery and that is what it's about!!!
Oh brother! He doesn't seem very caring this time around, at least to me.
I see my Mom in both Heidi and Mackenzie- she was murdered by her alchoholic boyfriend when I was 10. I wish that she had the chance to go to rehab, and realize that her daughter misses her dearly. Heidi and Mackenzie both make me sad when I see how lost they got- like my Mom (Ginger).I also identify with Mindy-I was abused by my boyfriend for 7 years. I cried when I saw her have a seizure- and I saw how caring Dennis was. Tom and Mike- you guys have so much to live for- as do you all. You all have a great person under all the chaos in your lives. I watched my boyfriend deteriorate because of Meth- I hope that you all regain your lives, and wish you all happiness.
What a wonderful and caring man Dr. Drew is.
