To Maroonsista, I'm not saying every man is ready to be a father. But, if that is an issue with Ray, then he shouldn't lead her on. He should have found some way to let her go a while ago and I'm not downing Brandi for her advice to her brother, it just the way she put it. I don't feel like mother's out here with kids should here that their kids are being considered as baggage. There are other ways she could have worded that , so it wouldn't be offensive.
Although I didn't see the connection between him and Luscious, I strongly agree with her decision. As soon as they started singing, I was thinking, "I'd pack my bags and leave." No, you cannot physically control what comes out of your friends' mouths, but if they respect you as friends, they won't act that ignorant. His friends act like children. They're running in and out singing a song that even the creator of the song (forgot his name) wasn't singing. He actually had his arm around ole girl. The other two look like they're fresh out of high school and just lame as hell. I was disgusted by the way they acted. I wouldn't want to date someone whose friends are so juvenile. Ray J is in his 20s. His friends act like they're coming out of homeroom and neither one of the loudest ones were cute. One needs his hair braided. The other one who asked a million STUPID questions like "What would you do if he turned out to be totally different. Would you still like him?" Who would?! Ray J. could've done something like shush them or been very stern with their behavior. My friends would NEVER act like that out of respect for me. Not only do his friends not respect women, they don't look like they respect him either. Stick to hanging with Snoop, Ray J. Your cousin didn't appear to be singing the song either, but really that was just hella lame to me. Luscious, people have sex. It's human. You have nothing to be ashamed of. It's not like you knew before you had sex with his friend that you were going to be on the show or meet Ray J. (at least I hope not). You'll find somebody more mature who has friends who aren't idiotic in your own time.
Prettybrneye21, do you have kids? When you date someone with kids, you have to love that person AND the kids. It's a set. You can't tell someone with kids that you want nothing to do with the children and just the mother. It doesn't work like that. It's not about rights. It's respect for the mother.
LadyPisces, I understand where Brandy is coming from. Yes, single mothers should have the opportunity to be with Mr. Right, but that doesn't mean that every man they're attracted to is ready to be a father. For someone who does not have children, this is a very important point. Ms. Berry should be wondering the same thing. Never approach a man unless he's ready to be a father, not just because he's cute. She's got an ex-husband, kids, and has been through way more than he has. Why would his sister NOT bring that up?
Really Brandi, you didn't just say that she has baggage. That is some of the reason why females can not get a good man, because of comments like that. What if you meet a man and his family tells him that you got to much baggage. That was not cool! Trust me, I love you Brandi, I really do. But, I feel that was very disrespectful to the single mother's out there that is hoping to find that Mr. Right. That's my opinion!
