I think this is a perfect example of how she is too young to marry. The doctor is presenting her with perfectly logical and justifiable reasons. She's asking her to dress differently for a matter of days not her entire life. Someone who doesn't possess a fully developed frontal lobe - which you don't until approximately 25 - is incapable of rationalizing or seeing another person's point. She wants to dress like that now and the now is all that matters to her because she is not mentally capable of grasping the consequences of her actions or imagining different outcomes. It's so illogical to me that anyone allowed marriage for her before her brain was developed enough to make decisions and think critically.

I think it's such an outdated and hypocritical stance to believe that dressing in a sexual fashion means a woman is not strong, nor has intelligence and leadership skills, as you put it. Talk about putting a label on something, and then acting as if you're not and she's the one labeling herself. Word to the wise, you're perpetuating a stereotype and thus being hypocritical as all get out.000a000aHer dressing the way that she does by no means is, 'bowing down to the man' or JUST putting on a show to get a reaction out of men. What if she simply feels good that way? Appreciates her body, and wants to accessorize it as she sees fits? Wants to embrace her youth while she has it, and enjoy her sexuality at her own discretion? It takes a lot of confidence to dress that way all the time in the open; she's not stripping, hooking, or anything else out of desperation. She's enjoying herself, and chose to do this sort of thing close to a legal age. She's taking a stand, too, for all the women out there that feel they cannot be sexual AND be intelligent or seen as leaders and powerful000a000aFace it; to be strong is to live up to your own ideals regardless of what others thing; to do as you see fit without worrying or being anxious over what society deems appropriate or 'okay'. She's a lot stronger than most woman, and should be applauded for not wanting to fit into the 'norm' that is set down for women now. To label a woman's sexuality bad skews the views of many young women growing up who have confidence in themselves, and want to dress a certain way or act a certain way. There's absolutely nothing wrong with embracing ones sexuality so long as no one is hurt, including that person. She sure seems safe to me.

I don't mind the way Courtney dresses but she could put a little more (other than bikinis and belly out 000astuff) all the time around men. It's difficult for men to deal with this when they're married or not married actually because they are such visual beings. So Courtney be a little more mindful of these kinds of things, and cover up a bit more. You can still be sexy with your curves covered up. You can still be sexy with your curves covered up. You're really pretty and you act pretty too.

There's nothing harder than trying to convince an immature CHILD that they are an immature child. Courtney sits among people twice her age and thinks the only person that has it together is her and Doug. I'd love for Dr. J to really get to the bottom of Courtney's issues. Doug says he wants to help her, but he really doesn't Once Courtney gets the proper help she needs she'll see how the adults in her life (Doug, her parents, etc.,) have failed her miserably. Doug and her parents are using Courtney. Doug to get attention and jump start his failing career and her parents to make money. They ALL need their asses kicked, especially her parents!!!

Leah it starts at home and i have always thought the same. Now i also wonder if her husband was not famous would courtney parents give her the ok to get married? we can all clearly see she is starved for attention now rather she was touched or maybe she lacked that attention at home from her mom she def knows how to get attention but she needs to understand that it is so in the negative manner she wont understand this until someone close to her like her husband or mother address this issue until then the world is jealous an hating on her beauty is what she thinks. Courtney take away the trashy clothes the fake hair and who are you? How do you feel about yourself? what do you have to offer yourself? and what do you have to offer society? just some questions i would love for her to answer.

It's women like her that keep women like me in stereotypes, and keeps women under pressure to sexualize themselves for the entertainment of a man, allowing them to think of us as sex dolls instead of people who can make a contribution to society with their INTELLIGENCE AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS. It's women like you who give men the impression that they don't have to take us seriously. You're beautiful and all, but girl, I'm sure you have more talents than what every other woman on the face of the earth has. Do something with yourself, stop making our youth feel like they need to dress provocatively just to feel accepted. 000a000aLast but not least, learn to love yourself chick. You won't feel like you need to dress that way to get someone to take a chance to get to know you.
