Shelly meets Kari Ann for the first time and learns about her wake-up demands of quiet and juice.
Ahhhh man...this piece of sh...oops..."work" is way over the top. Narcistic lil'Ku...oops..."Kow". For her to recieve "Special" treatment from Dr Drew...OH HELL!!!...for Dr D to ALLOW this ...thing...to treat everyone the way she does/did,for the Clients to witness this behaviour...Honestly...(?)...if I was there I would not take the place serious. First, Dr Drew is setting an example of his treatment. I watch the people that appear to be taking this treatment serious...exposing layers of thier being that has to be grueling for them to reveal...especially to the WORLD!!! So...someone comes walking in, Dr Drew has his lip puffed out then ask "Have you masterbated"? In the background is this inhuman creature screaming...demanding...her juice. My thoughts for Drew is "Don't you think you have more serious matters to deal with then if one is pleasurizing themself??? And...for heaven sakes "Put your lip back in your mouth!!!" Allowing this is not only unprofessional but it is disgusting. Kari-D'Ranged should have been out the door a long ass time ago. Oh and btw...letting her a$$ show all the time is disrepecful to the other clients. Put her in a place where someone can grab her, put her in a straight jacket and let her wake up to the real world.
keri ann is a sick twisted little girl. who do she think she is omg. dr. drew & his staff babysat her tail long enough. can't wait to see her exit. re-hab is for people who want to work on themselves it's not a game. Kick her ass out. I can only imagine her manager what he go threw. The rest of the group is paricipating kari ann ruins that atmosphere good luck to her. She's not ready for re-hab period. She wants some more pain and it's coming she has the nastiest attitude. Bring her juice wake her up a certain way please can't wait to see her exit.

This chick has way more than a sexual addiction problem! She's absolutly disgusting! Inside & out. She deserves NO t.v. time or kindness from others. It's amazing how someone you've never met can fill you with anger! The only good from having her on this show is that the whole nation can see how pathetic she is!

I am not trying to say that she has the right to throw anything... but in my job I have learned how to keep myself and others safe and if she threw a vase at me I would not immediately counter-attack. I am fortunate in that I learned therapeutic safety restraining that I could employ, but if the rules are completely hands off, I would keep my hands off. She would not have gotten killed by the vase and if she has worked with this population before, she has experienced much worse than getting a vase thrown at her. Kari Ann is not a child (though she acts like one) and neither is Selma, so physical violence is not the answer. I wish that they would have just transferred Selma and I believe they would have if it was not on national television. Another reason why reality tv sucks. I love this show, I love Dr. Drew, and I love that as much as everyone gets pissed about things like Kari Ann's behavior that some people have been there and can relate on some level and there are some of us who can still be understanding for those people even when most people just hate on them.
I am so pissed! They fired Selma? Really? I understand there are rules and regulations, blah, blah… Kari (or whatever her name is) clearly pushed her to the limit! Why is she even on this show? Did her agent think this would be a good move for her? Give her 15 mins of fame? She is psychotic! She is making a ******* idiot out of herself! I can’t believe they haven’t expelled her by now. She has crossed the line too many times! She needs drug rehab before sex rehab! How is she going to benefit from this if she’s screwed up on drugs? Kendra is consoling her & saying she understands? Maybe she needs drug rehab, as well? This is too much! This is a TV show, I’m sure VH1 threatens Dr. Drew to keep the ratings up, but I’m starting to lose a little respect for this show & its purpose. People are invested in Sex Rehab because they want to see those who want the help to succeed. Kari is impossible! If I were Selma, it would’ve been more than just a little hair pulling. I would’ve beaten the bitch’s ass!
Kari Ann has never known limits, or accepting "no" . This is a prime example of a sick addict expecting others to cowtail to their "wants" . I'm surprised Shelly didn't set her straight.

I, like the other people posting, was really frustrated with Kari Ann during last nights episode. However, I have lived with a Sex-Addict (x-husband), when they are feeling their hurt feelings and remebering their past issues, their behaviors become (at times) intolerable to others. I think that Kari Ann's behaviors (which are wrong) are her reactions to the feelings that she has ran away from for so long. I remember my husbands behaviors when he started therapy, he treated me worse than Kari Ann treated the others. I only stayed with him due to the fact that he was gettting help (then he stopped seeing his therapist and said that he didn't need any one to help him!). Kari Ann is emotionally a young girl, what adult carrys around a large teddy bear like she does? She is seeking comfort through something even if it is a stuffed animal. I do not believe that Kari realized what re-hab was really all about when she signed up for this, all of her feelings that she is getting in touch with is too much for her at times. With any addiction in order to heal you have to feel. Although many of us want to jump through the television screen and just shake her we first have to realize how emotionally sick she really is. Although I want to smack her, I realize that she needs support to get through this. Dr. Drew has stated that it takes 3 to 5 years to get through this process (I hope that I did not misquote him). Selma hats off to you for the crap that you had to take, and I pray that another job has opened up for you. Dr. Drew could you do an update on Selma in the future? For the group that has sought help, you are in my prayers.
It's so frustrating because Selma DID wake her up really nicely and sweetly every day, Kari Ann was just feeling bitchy and took it out on her. Selma should be used to dealing with patients like that but she shouldn't HAVE to be, especially when they are voluntary. The most frustrating thing is probably that as much as all of us watching this show want to smack Kari Ann and are irritated by her behaviors, that's why she is IN treatment. If you can, try to see that really she is so damaged that she can't even behave like a civil human being and that is partly because of her issues/ damage. It's hard to know what to do with an adult who is so resistant because everything is a power struggle for her. And she's just like some of the mentally ill kids I work with, in that the second she sees she is getting under your skin, you've lost her. You get irritated or short with her, she feeds on it, it's like a shark sensing blood in water. As horrible as what happened was, Selma, as a professional doing something similar to what I do, should have known better and been more patient because she was really getting in Kari Ann's boundaries, too. VERY crappy situation. (but I agree, if she won't participate, she should get kicked out.)
Kari Ann acts like a 10 year old but when she's treated like one she just gets rude..."Stop repeating yourself"...what an ignorant , stuck up *****. I'm sure when she gets kicked out she will have to return the money they are paying her for this, my guess is a nice 5 figure sum. I don't think anyone is getting cured on this, if I had sex addiction I don't think locking me up with porn stars, pageant girls, and super models would be my first choice!!!It's difficult to watch, everyone is so tense!! Remember "the contest" on Seinfeld? No one could sleep until they caved!!!!!! So who ever's getting a good night's sleep...u might wanna check on the shower habits!
Cannot help this, Kari Ann is a complete *****! If Selma was going to be let go I wish she would have beat her ass!I would have done the same thing . Lord she needs to be brought down to reality! Why is she there? All she does is not productive. She is a *****! I hate watching, week to week, her getting away with so much when others are progressing do much. And next week giving Shelley the same treatment... Can her ass!
