Dr. Drew discusses the drama in Episode 3.
There is no way Jenn deserves to be treated like this. Physical and verbal abuse she goes through is crazy. Yeah she's a *****, a snitch and thinks shes better than them but to be fired for standing up to Mike is ludacris!!!
Jenn all the agravation you have in that sober house will cure you for EVER
how come we have never seen them go to a meeting? I think it's all bs and just a show for ratings and entertainment. Are they even Sober?
and open her eyes..
Jen is the problem. She doesn't know how to help these addicts in recovery. She has no control. She doesn't have the knowledge or strength to handle any of them
why does jen allow seth and kendra hit each other with a banana? if this isn't a form of foreplay i dont know what is. To top it off Jen does nothing and just sits there. Funny how Seth and Kendra wake up downstairs on the couches together..hmmm. what went on the night before?? Jen are you ever going to take control of situations that aren't healthy to ones recovery? And didn't those two just come from Sex rehab? And theres Jen letting them go at it with a banana peel slapping each other.. What they don't have to sleep in their own rooms? They can go to the couches downstairs instead? Yeah that's healthy! Kendra arent you married?

No treatment in the world would house heidi fliess and tom siezmore in the same recovery house..that in itself is the problem.
Mike seriously needs psychiatric treatment and should not be around the other Sober House patients, jmho. Dennis is just killing time at Sober Houseand will be off drinking until it kills him. I would sadly be very surprised if he ever hears the wake-up call. Poor Tom, I just don't know what to think, he's just so messed up, so much misplaced anger and sadness. I hope he can find sobriety but it's probably going to be pretty tough for him. Heidi doesn't really want it enough. Carrie-Anne, oh my gosh, so much to say about that child. How does she get through a day without getting punched by someone....probably doesn't, which is why she sits in her room and does drugs. She needs so much help but how to help her? It's like holding a porcipine.
Episode 5 is available already and I STILL COULDN''T DOWNLOAD EPIS. 4 ---- HERE IN FRANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
some of these folks should have longer treatment.
I am sick of seeing Heidi think she can be a ***** to tom Sizemore. yeah there was a Domestic and yeah both of them should work thru it together or separately, to act out it such a sick and immature way only says to me that she does not really want to work her sobriety or her issues and when I was intreatment if you were caught with a dirty u.a. you were OUT OF THERE! She should not be allowed to act out and torment sizemore or anyother person in the house. Taking her offf the show would not be a necessarily bad idea.
To see how the "Sober House" is out of control every week with relapse and drama kind of hurts us average blue collar addicts / alcoholics. I see these "Washed up Celebrity's" and how they are no where ready for sober housing, but rather in need of long-term in-patient treatment. I speak from both a personal and professional view as someone who is 15 years clean and a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor that works in an all male 6-month residential treatment facility here in Massachusetts. I especially disagree with the chronic relapsing of individuals who are allowed to stay in "sober" housing as it sends the message to other addicts that it is ok to go and use because they'll be allowed back to the sober house once they say the magic words like "Yea, I messed up, but I want to be clean now"... bla, bla, bla BS! Us Addicts / Alcoholics can talk our way in or out of anything. I believe in order to have success in the recovery efforts of those who truly "want" to be clean, than you have to set consequences to those who keep messing up. I know hundreds of individuals who "need" treatment, but only a few dozen who actually "want" it and are willing to try. I love the shows on treatment and recovery, but can't understand why you keep enabling those who don't "want" sobriety? An example of this would be Seth M, the nit-wit who has been on all three seasons, but yet keeps going back to the rock and roll lifestyle and ends up smoking meth' over and over again and than happens to call Dr. Drew when a new season starts up? Can u say "EGO CENTRIC"? Dr. Drew "almost" was able to "let go" of Seth, but that emotional blackmail of an addict got the best of Dr. Drew. I'm not saying we ever give up hope for any addict, I'm saying there are limitations on how far one should go to help an addict because at some point the addict themself "MUST" take responsibilty and take action themselves. Shoot, if any addict / alcoholic has a history of being clean they know that the felowships of AA / NA work and have since the early days of Dr. Bob and Bill W. (co-founders' of Alcoholics Anonymous). Although the preamble of AA says it's a fellowhip of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with one another in "hopes" of achieveing sobriety... it's also called "Self-Help" and that means "I" MUST go on my own willingness and not because a court, doctor, family member, or employer tells me I MUST go. Just my thoughts on this show and personal view about addiction and recovery. :) Good luck to any and all who suffer with the disease of addiction regardless.
HI DR.DREW , WHAT I LOVE ABOUT YOUR SHOW IS THAT IT IS TRULY IN THEIR HAND'S, THEY ARE ADULT'S AND HAVE TO START ACTING LIKE ONE. EVERYONE HAS PROBLEM'S, I HAD CANCER A FULL HYSTRO. 1YR. TO THE DAY OF MY 1ST ANNIVERSARY OF MY WEDDING DAY. I AM GOING ON 17YRS. MARRIED AND IN 07' HAD A UNDECTED D.V.T. IN MY COLON RELSULTING IN THE LOSS OF 1/2 OF MY COLON AND A SMALL PORTION OF MY SMALL INTESTINE'S. THEN I FOUND OUT I HAVE A INHERITED BLOOD DISORDER THAT NO ONE EVER FOUND. I AM ONLY 42YRS.OLD AND I HAVE BEEN DEALING W/SERIOUS MEDICAL PROBLEM'S , STARTING AT AGE 26. I DID NOT TURN TO ANYTHING, I AM FIGHTING EVERY DAY TO LIVE. GOOD LUCK, YOU AND YOUR GREAT STAFF NEED IT!!
Everyone seems to be either writing off or forgetting about Shifty? Kendra has an uphill battle Lukas was and still is part of the problem. They were so stark raving co-dependent they couldn't and wouldn't be apart for weeks at a time. They would literally not get out bed for days at a time. They need to work on their issues together or they're doomed to fail...
Actually I think Shifty might have a chance this time? He's one of the ones who didn't stay out after curfew. I personally think everyone with the exception of Jennifer(Penny Flame) needs a higher level of care than this. She did get into her addiction. Anyone could easily do that if they were hanging out with Dennis and Mike LOL... She stayed out after curfew but she actually did the essay and put thought into it.
A few random thoughts - Firstly, I love the show. Didn't think I would but, it's great. Heidi: collogen injections in her lips administered in Thailand or Haiti? Horrid - lumpy. She really shows a mean streak in her and is directly the cause of Tom's blow up and the inevitable hissy fit fight coming up..(which won't happen) and if it did would end up being two fat men on the floor squirming around. Penny Flame - she'll be back in the porn business before long. I'll bet hits to her website are way up. Nice Mercedes she pulled up in at the beginning of the first episode. How does she maintain that lifestyle with her particular skill set? Seth - Maybe he's finally going to nail it. He seems committed this time. Has ANYBODY heard of Crazy Town? They have now. That implanted rhinestone in his face looks infected. Kendra Jade - See Penny Flame above. Mike - Turning into a real nasty sh*t. I don't think he'll stay clean. Look up an old Alice in Chains video - man, what drugs and cheeseburgers will do to a man. It's OVER Mike. You better start producing or something. Thought the bar scene with him telling all of these youngsters that he's from Alice in Chains was particularly poignant
What do you expect when you get a couple of tweekers who have a history together. They are going to trigger each other. They haven't been clean very long in Heidi's case she went a used when she went back home for that court appearance. Tom is a total emotional disaster and a train wreck looking for a place to happen. You didn't state what yer drug of choice was but I know who speed freaks (tweekers) think being one myself. It takes weeks and even months to get more normal, Sometimes that damage is permanent. Teeth don't grow back getting your brain all out of wack and needing mood stabilizers is a very real possibility...
I watch this show in attempts to gain a better insight on addicts. My husband was an addict and he is clean and sober, but it took me leaving and taking his kids away. We are not together, but the man that i love today is an additct and I tried to stand by him but I saw my life repeating itself so he had to go. Many nights i had the heated discussions with him...in one ear out the other. I had my bout with alcohol after my husband left and it only took one response frm my kid to stop. I just keep them in my prayers especially Tom and Dennis. I can remember when I was such a fan of Dennis, loved that he was different..his boldness...work at it you can beat it and jst know the love of your kids is more than any friend you will ever have. Its ok to be alone as long as you are with those who love you. [that a statement for people who love to be the center]
