Steve explains why Arian's "fun bags" might be what's keeping her from finding love! Watch this clip from Season 1.
Steve is great!
See and that brings me back to my point. If she dropped that 'bomb shell' on you......... well hey if she waited to tell you 'that' then what else is she hiding??? Communication and honesty is the key in my humble opinion, but not to point where you say "Hey that dress looks like S h i t on you!" Course that would be Steve's way ;)
Perhaps you're right. I guess relationships need those kinds of tests to make sure it'll work out. But I can say that if my girl dropped that kind of bombshell on me, I'd have to seriously assess the relationship. Of course, if I loved her unconditionally and trusted her all the way (which is a challenge in of itself since, like Arian, I have trust issues), then I could shrug it off no question. At least I know she could teach me a thing or two! ;-)
Elisa you're kidding right? (from a different post of hers) Eat, sleep and DRINK what this closed minded person has to say? If appearing as a stepford wife appeals to you and protraying you are something you are not, is what you think is the right way to ACT then by all means go for it and try to fool the men. There is nothing better then being loved for who you ARE, not for who they want to THINK you are!! Anyone who calls a womans breasts FUN BAGS has SERIOUS issues of his own!!!!! (a complete lack of respect for women comes to my mind for starters) I agree with Arian.... he was intimidated by her appearance, cause she IS BEAUTIFUL and OUT of his LEAGUE and he KNEW IT!!!
To the musical matress guy...... I see your point with a males perspective on insecurity. Being with a personality type such as Arian's, A man would need to be very secure with who he is to date her. But not for just the sexual reason...... she has A LOT going for her!! I also happen to feel that complete honesty with someone you want to be with is VERY important. It's much easier to tell the truth and live with the outcome, then trying to cover lies or misleading information. If a person can't deal with your past the I wouldn't want to try to convince them otherwise. Besides your past can come back to haunt you at any given time. Let's just cut out the surprises and be real. Arian is REAL! Just as most of these women are.
Here's the straight dope on why the "100 guys" thing would be such an issue: Men are just as insecure and emotionally vulnerable as women. Maybe even more so, because we don't have the luxury of being able to let it out whenever we want. I envy women that privilege of having the support of their fellow gals during a cry session, because generally men don't have that. We bottle up our emotions and insecurities or vent them in faux machismo displays. So let's say I found out my beautiful, sassy, outspoken new girlfriend had slept with over 100 men...sure, it's easy for me to call her a "slut" and make it seem like she's the one with the problem. And maybe she is to some extent. Sleeping with that many random partners isn't safe and takes a lot of the mystery and challenge out of sex. It would lead me to question exactly what void she tried to fill in that game of Musical Mattresses. But that still doesn't hide my insecurity issue: that 100 partners is a lot of men that I'll feel like I'll never measure up to and be compared to. THAT is the real reason men want their women to be these pristine untapped beauty queens, it's all about satisfying that illusion that (to quote "Chasing Amy") that they're Marco Polo when it comes to sex. Which leads to the question: when it comes to a partner's past sexual experience, is it better to not know and keep the illusion alive for the sake of keeping as much excess emotional baggage out of the relationship, or should partners be as completely open about every nasty detail as possible and try to work through the issue?
Arian, you are an amazing woman. Hurrah for women who love sex and aren't ashamed of it, who dress how they want and don't care if men can't see past it (cause seriously, who wants to marry those kind of dudes anyway???), and who can put this Steven guy in his place when he is out of line (I love how he got all flustered when actually confronted)! I wish more women had your mindset.
PS- the 100 and counting comment you made?! High five, m'lady, high five. That was awesome.
OMG Linda that was so well said I just mae my friends read it.. Love it! Miss you sis!
well said Arian. Well done.

2009: Why buy the pig when all I want is a little sausage?
Times are changing. We can be openly intelligent, beautiful, strong, independent, AND comfortable expressing our sexuality.
You people and your double standards. If a man has 100 notches on his bedpost, he's a "playa". His male peers want to emulate him and women are lining up to be his next conquest. But god forbid a woman wants to explore her sexuality and have some variety in life! She will have the scarlet "S" on her forehead wherever she goes. Look at what century we are living in and then try to broaden your minds a little bit. As long as people are SAFE about it, let them do what makes them happy. I'm in a monogamous relationship and I am very happy, but when I was single, I had no intention of "saving myself" until Mr. Right came. I was realistic enough to recognize that he may not even exist. And here's something for the unmarried, single fellas to ponder ... if it weren't for "sluts", most of you would be walking around with a sorry case of blue balls right now. You should be thankful when a "slut" takes pity on you and helps you release a little frustration.
I love that he just was like well you look like a slut and have slept with over 100 guys so if thats working for you then theres the door!
Keep your legs closed! Please don't procreate!
100 and counting... MWA HA HA HAAAAA
It's kinda sad that this girl is so insecure that she won't pay attention to constructive comments and has to swear and yell all the time. She needs to listen to the advice to act like a lady instead of a tramp. Good grief! 100 men??? Give me a break!
Steve was trying to tell Arian that by showing your cleavage, men don't care how smart, charming, or witty you are, they just think that your an easy lay. It doesn't matter that you can get guys, the problem is you can't keep them or get them to put a ring on your finger. Arian is beautiful and in this episode we found out that she has 2 degrees which means that she's intelligent, but no guy will care with your bobbies staring him in the face.
Thank you so much! Post 1960s sexual revolution people really need to see this. So much to re-learn! Free love and radical feminism (not healthy well-balanced feminism that got us right to vote) stole real love for the future generations. I was born in 1965. I grew up in an environment that made no sense. I went off to college a niave virgin. I wish I coulda stayed that way until I chose to give it away, not date raped away. I am growing old alone. I am divorced and lonely but heck if I will buy into Friends with Benefits mentality. The offers don't stop. I rather be STD-free. I happy with one pregnancy/one baby. My tip for findig love: Sex is NOT love. Bring back the old fashioned courtship rituals.
Woh...nvm, just saw the rest of this video ...hmmm
