I Don't agree joe, Maiden and Priest new albums in many ways are just as good as their golden era 80s albums. Just listen to Dance of Death by Maiden and Angel of Retribution by Priest, and their both just as amazing live today as they were in their prime.

Great to see Schenker one of my all time favorites. #1 album from Iron Maiden for me is Piece of Mind. How ever that being said my favorite Bruce/ Adrian Albums are "Chemical Wedding" and "Tyranny of Souls" Bruce solo records IMO are metal classics.

I think "Number of the Beast" had more better songs than "Piece of Mind" but if I am to pick the album with songs that are better, I will have to say "Piece of Mind". As much as I think songs like "Hallowed Be Thy Name", "Children Of The Damned" and "22 Acacia Avenue" are great, I don't think they could top songs like "Revelation", "Flight Of The Icarus", "Still Life", "Die With Your Boots On".
I know it's very common for many to put "Number of the Beast" as one of top list. As much as I love that album, I also must admit that I'm sick of that album compare to others at same time. I've been listening to that album for so long. And I also know that it's not common for many to list "Somewhere In Time" as top number one but that was my first Iron Maiden album that I heard and have great memories with that album. Guitar parts are just so flawless and every transitions are perfect.
I am a HUGE Iron Maiden fan and this is just so exciting. Top 5 Maiden albums is just too difficult because different albums are great for different reasons and unlike most of fans, I also like their new albums as well. But I have made my list.
