Brian Johnson of AC/DC joins the boys of That Metal Show to discuss his experience fronting one of the most successful bands in hard rock.

Tim Owens000a000aI'd also want to put Eddie Vedder on that list, except before him Pearl Jam wasn't a recorded band, it just existed, meaning that he didn't have shoes to fill. I anticipate people not liking the Phil Collins bit, but he made Genesis truly awesome.
@dangreer: Yes, Halford replaced Al Atkins on Vocals. Atkins was vocalist from 1969-1973.
Top 5 replacement singers 5)Joey Belladonna 4)Bruce Dickinson 3)Sammy Hagar 2)Brian Johnson 1)Ronnie James Dio I just want to say that though Bruce is the best singer out of all of these guys, he came in the band when Maiden wasn't that big, not as big as Van Halen, Sabbath, or AC/DC was when the aforementioned singers came into those bands anyway. As for the Halford question, yes I guess he isn;t the original singer per say, but al atkins didn;t sing on any albums, and Halford was way better.
Just curious. Wasn't Rob Halford a replacement singer himself for Judas Priest. I don't think he was the original singer when Judas Priest started.
5. David Coverdale 4. Ronnie James Dio 3. Brian Johnson 2. Sammy Hagar 1. Bruce Dickinson
The Brian Johnson TMS episode is by far the best this season and most likely will hard to top. I've already watched it 3 times.
I totally agree on this too. There are a ton of great bass players that deserve to get their moment to shine on TMS
We need more Bass Players in the guest player
Did don mention "Bad Boy Boogie" in reference to Powerage? Not good!
Wow, with all the commercials they keep adding to the show, you'd think VH1 could afford to increase your budget guys.
Hager with VH sold half the albums than the original line up.. And that doesnt include the overseas albums sold, which were also a 2-1 ratio. That being said, Mr Trunk as the maestro of all rock trivia, that is a blatant story you are tryin to sell, or u r badly misinformed. Either way, you are PAID to have that **** at your fingertips..How can a casual fan know this to be the case and you not know???? You owe it to yourself and rep, as well as to the viewers to come clean.. Know what I mean!!!!
About the top 5 replacement singers, I'm surprised that no one picked Ian Gillan replacing Rod Evans in Deep Purple. Arguably, a major event in metal music history.
What of Michael Kiske and Andi Deris? or Matt Barlow and Stu Block
