Very Important question. Why not? I think is the only question that matters.
Redefine what metal is? Thank You!? Wow, this guy is incredible and to think I was a fan....what a shame. Anyways the new Queensryche sounds like the Queensryche I like and that's all I care about.
I don't see why people complain about The Show. I think Eddie did his job asking Tate the right questions.
Something smells like B.S. in Geoff Tate's explanation.
lOAD SUCKS AS AN ALBUM COVER THAT HIPPY TRIPPY KISS ALBUM LOOKS FAGGY BUT ROCKS
yEAH
worst cover on an album that rocks....judas priest -point of entry....no contest....it was terrible on the original release....then the american release was even worse....how did you guys not get this one on the list?....lol000a000a1-judas priest-point of entry000a2-black sabbath-paranoid000a3-deep purple-machine head000a4-led zepplin -iv000a5-def leppard-high and dry
Dude I've seen Zakk twice and I've loved him ever since Ozzy and Eddie and Jim and Don are just awesome and heroes of mine and I am perfectly aware of the amount of flack I am about to receive for saying this but the freaking War Bonnet, just no no , I didn't see it 2 years back when I saw him on tour but I have to say no on principle
Well the throwdown was clearly another popularity contest with Metallica being picked again. Kill 'Em All is a great album, but for my money Show No Mercy is the best. That album always gets overlooked by Reign in Blood or Seasons. I think SNM beats both of those. The crowd didn't even make any noise for it. Bunch of poseurs
If you guys give both sides of the story, then how come we haven't seen Dream Theater, Great White or Queensryche on to give their sides of the various splits?
WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS ASK HIM THE HARD QUESTION AND PUSH HIM ON HOW HE COULD'VE DICTATED....HOW.....EASY....MANIPULATION...AND LEVERAGE! YOU GUYS LET PEOPLE OFF THE HOOK TOO EASY JEEZE! I'M NOT SAYING HE DID THAT BUT AT LEAST MAKE HIM DEFEND HIS POSITION...I'M DISSAPOINTED IN YA!
Rocklohoma was mentioned, well how about on Video Tate is insulting the audience, "You guys suck"? Everything Tate says doesnt make any logical sense, he has NO CLUE "why" they fired him and his Family? . . . no clue? And everyone has to ask themselves WHY a band would get rid of their signature sound singer after all these years. So what is the WHY? Could the QR band member have legit reasons? And they ARE going to tell him to his face why, in Court.
Zepplin IV bad cover?? L.A. Guns Hollywood forever, thats a bad cover....
In the 90s, Megadeth was the best, but come on, Kill em All beats all the other debuts hands down. Bad album covers for great albums: 5 - Megadeth - Killing is my business (original) 4 - Manowar - Fighting the World (too close to Destroyer, and way too gay) 3 - Van Halen - Women and Children First. 1 and 2 - yeah, I can't come up with any albums more awesome with dumber album covers than Riot and Paranoid, good picks.
I think Slayer's "Show No Mercy" is the best debut album among the big four. Megadeth just lacked something with their debut album.(Poor production and compositions that are below the mediocre level) Metallica's "Kill 'Em All" is good but it's not a matured album. There are certain songs that just sound too premature. I find myself listening to and appreciating "Show No Mercy" as more I get old. Compositions were excellent and some of songs had amazing twist with changing of riffs. Plus, it still had that vibe of NWOBHM while heading toward the direction of Thrash Metal. It was out before the word "Thrash" even existed so they were able to create sounds that are heavy and yet didn't had to be trapped into this predictable "box" of what is supposed to be "Thrash Metal."
I'm not gonna make top five list like I often do simply because I find it little difficult to make five list of the worst album cover. But I can't believe they picked Led Zeppelin's fourth album cover. That's an art work! And nobody picked Slayer's "Season In The Abyss?"
If you are going to have Geoge Lynch come in and play guitar, at least have the common courtesty to shut your suck while he is playing. That is all.
Hey Eddie I picked up your book. FANTASTIC TRUNK!!!!
AEROSMITH DRW THE INE IS LASSIC!!! ROCKS IS CLASSIC ALSO!!!!
