This show was too long ago to worry about, but I think that making a drummer a good drummer means he has to do more than just play drums. I would have definitely put Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan in that mix simply because he was the genius behind all the music writing (for the most part) even up till "Nightmare." When I listen to a song, I listen for something that makes it special and none of them are special. My other choices are Tommy Lee, Lars Ulrich, Mike Portnoy, and Peter Criss.

how do they NOT mention the Tygers Of Pan Tang?? John Sykes was playing with them for all their best albums..plus I'm pretty sure I've seen jim wear a shirt of them once

Actually, they're more hard rock than prog. Comparing them to a band like Yes or King Crimson as opposed to Led Zeppelin? they're more Zeppelin than Crimson

If this is a list of the top 5 hard rock drummers, then how inspirational they were to other drummers is irrelevant.
