Can someone tell me what decade this show takes place in? Let me elaborate. Telling a woman to quit a job that makes her happy, just to meet a man is HORRIBLE ADVICE! "Dancing for tips makes most men uncomfortable," this is probably true, and if Chastity quit her job as a dancer, it would probably increase her odds of finding a mate. But she might feel regret at having to quit, or resentful of her partner, who probably enjoys his job. And guess what: There is more to happiness than meeting a man! Not enough women pursue their ACTUAL happiness, they just feed into the lie that a man will make her happy. And THAT is the problem with women today, not whether or not they have hair extensions in -- dear lord. You know what else makes most men uncomfortable? Women who make more money than they do. So my question is, would Steve give the same advice to a career woman who makes six figures, as he gave to Chastity, just to increase her odds of pairing up?

Telling a fine Nubian warrior to cut his braids is beyond disgusting. I can see that from other races but from a Europeanized sistah who doesn't except who she is or what GOD has blessed her with. To tell him to cut of his natural pride is sickening. Anyone who does not appreciate who you are, is not worth being with PERIOD!!! Black people we need to respect ourselves and each other.

They did that with BBWs of LA and people trash those women. People are USE TO polished above average people on TV. They called Tyra Banks "FAT" at 160 lbs. if that doesn't tell you WHAT people are USE TO... It would be MORE REAL...but each of the ladies have legitimate "problems" so the root of the show still is good. NOT EVERY WOMAN is superficial and self absorbed. That seems to be what people find interesting to watch ON TV. Eccentric, over the top, hysterical, dramatic personalities...
