Who Said She Had to Change Her Look? Amara La Negra Has Landed A Multi-Album Record Deal

"Don’t Let Anyone Put you down! Work hard for what you want because it won’t come to you without a fight."

On her Love & Hip Hop Miami debut, fans far and wide instantly recognized the star potential in Amara La Negra. A few days after her introduction we're pleased to learn that this Afro-Latina has inked a multi-album record deal. Whoop, whoop!

Amara may be new to some but she is no rookie in the industry. Since her start on Univision's Sàbado Gigante as a child, Amara has been hustling to make a name for herself. Her goal, to crossover into mainstream media and with this multi-album deal with Fast Life Entertainment Worldwide and BMG, she will do just that. She shared a fierce picture announcing the news in an Instagram post.

Her caption- which was written in Spanish of course- translates to,

I left the past behind and decided to focus on me! My career! And my goals! I always said "God's Time is Perfect!" For those who did not believe in me ... I warn you that NOW THIS IS GOING TO BE GOOD! Thank God! My mom! My fans! My Followers! My manager and the President of the BMG label And all those who have supported me a thousand thanks. You are part of my achievements and where I want it to be, I will always proudly carry the flag of the Dominican Republic!

In an interview with Billboard Amara said,

I'm still in shock! At times I am caught pinching myself because there is a part of me that still is in awe of being signed to a franchise that will heighten my success.

This is certainly a blessing her mother, long-time supporters, and new admirers have easily anticipated however not everyone was as confident in her success. On the premiere of Love & Hip Hop Miami, Amara found herself in an unpleasant and disrespectful conversation with Elijah Sarraga AKA Young Hollywood who distastefully suggested that Amara straighten her hair to be more successful in this industry. Welp, not only does she still have an Afro but a friggin' record deal so suffice to say Amara made the best decision in staying true to herself. She had some words for her haters, though.

Whether you like me or not guess what? IM NOT GOING NO WHERE!!! Im gonna be all up in your face...! So for my haters y’all better start loving me hahaha

Amara is set to release her first single early this year. The record will be produced by Rock City who has worked with some of the best artists such as Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, and Queen Bey.

She will be a force to be reckoned with. You better keep shining, sis!

In this Love & Hip Hop Miami clip, Young Hollywood may have offended Amara but she is too confident to be bothered by his ignorant comments.
