Style + Substance: Jen The Pen On Her Top Five Favorite Outfits Of The Season

Jen the Pen is back, and this week’s blog post is dedicated to fashion. Today, she spent the day recovering from a rather exciting Love And Hip Hop reunion taping by getting her mind off of drama and turning it over to fashion. She’s written all about her favorite looks of the season, and it’s a fun glimpse inside her closet which, as she’s discussed before, is a mix of highbrow and budget designers. Find out what Jen’s most coveted outfits have been this year in the gallery she’s created for us!

If there’s one thing my Love and Hip Hop fans know about me they know I LOVE LOVE LOVE showing off my weekly looks from each Monday’s episodes. I make sure during commercial breaks to take to my Instagram and Twitter to break down my head-to-toe look. I’ve always been the type of woman who dresses for other women. Sorry fellas, but I live by the quote that “A Woman should always dress to be remembered not simply to be noticed.” I’m always most inspired by the women on the streets of NYC, I’m a people-watcher of clothes and style. So when styling myself for this past season of LHHNY, I wanted to make sure I inspired other women to dress to be REMEMBERED! Being coined this season by my fans as “The Urban Carrie Bradshaw” I’m taking this time to bring you my “Top 5 Looks” of the season. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did while wearing them!

5. My tan and navy Madewell bomber jacket paired with the $114 Penfield Vintage Denim Check Shoulder Shirt.

4. My $89 floor skimming red pleated skirt from Bebe paired with a long sleeved black shirt from H&M

3. My $795 Helmut Lang Drape Front Jacket in Brule paired with the $255 Helmut Lang Fray Shirt in rice/zinc and Beige Helmut Lang skinny jeans along with my cream Balenciaga bag.

2. My $1,200 Rick Owens tweed and leather draped jacket paired with rust colored Rag and Bone leather skinny pants, black slouchy boots by Aldo and black mink hat from Bergdorf Goodman

1. And for my #1 Top Pick I HAVE to choose my look from Winter’s book party! While the outfit didn’t get all the camera time it truly deserved it is by far my favorite look all season! I paired my oversized $635 Givenchy Paisley Printed Tee with a leather $2,500 marigold biker jacket by The Row along with BCBG leggings and Gucci Black patent leather pumps.

**Bonus Look** Just because I love fashion so much I thought it would be fun to add my look from the Super Trailer. We have to give credit where credit is due and Cons deserves all the credit for that dress, I stressed myself to the max trying to find the perfect dress and literally with one survey of the third floor in Bergdorf Goodman Cons found this dress and it was indeed the “perfection” I was looking for! Dress by Pucci Paired with Burgandy Louboutins.
