Britney Spears is about to make your Monday.
This morning, Spears did an interview for Z100 about her new song “Pretty Girls” with Iggy Azalea, which just dropped midnight Monday. During the discussion, she was unsure of a very popular fact about Azalea. It was everything.
When asked about working with the “Fancy” singer, Spears flawlessly said, “I think she’s from Australia, so she has a [sic] accent.” Pay attention to the word think. (You can crack up now.) Let’s be real: BritBrit doesn’t have time to keep track of such trivial matters when she’s too busy being a GD legend.
This soundbite is even more ironic given Spears sings, “Hey, don’t you know that it’s always the same? From Australia out to L.A.” in the new track.
However, Spears did go on to say, “[Azalea] invited me to her house and I met her dog and we had salads, she’s a just very sweet girl. We hit it off, it was so much fun to work with her.” Tender.
Another iconic quote from the princess of pop. We’re not worthy.
