How Do I Know That CrazySexyCool Actor?

The actors in CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story were made to resemble the real-life people they were playing so well that we were completely sucked in to the film. But when they’re not playing other famous people, you might be wondering, “Where else do I know that person from??” Which cast member was a regular guest star on The Cosby Show? Who is notorious for crashing a Jay-Z performance at the VMAs? And which actor is also the son of a music legend? Scroll through our CrazySexyCool cast trivia to find out those answers and more!

Carl Anthony Payne II, who plays L.A. Reid in the movie, is probably better known to children of the ’80s as Cockroach from The Cosby Show. He was also recently a recurring star on The Game and Martin, but he’ll forever be Cockroach to us.

Keke Palmer was on a special episode of MTV Cribs for celebrity teenagers. (Her house tour starts at the 14 minute mark.) Not a bad place for the then-16-year-old star of True Jackson.

Lil’ Mama, who plays Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in the movie, is just as feisty and impulsive as Left Eye. In 2009, she crashed Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance of “Empire State Of Mind” at the VMAs. She later told MTV she regretted doing it and got caught up in the moment.

Evan Ross portrays producer Dallas Austin in CrazySexyCool. In real life, he’s got a bit of music royalty in his blood, he’s Diana Ross’s son.

Donny Boaz plays the nice guy lawyer Bill Diggins in the film. CrazySexyCool isn’t the first biopic where he’s played the real-life good guy though. Earlier this year he played Larry Birkhead in the Lifetime movie Anna Nicole.

Keke Palmer has starred with both Queen Latifah and Ice Cube twice. Queen Latifah played Keke’s mother in Joyful Noise and Ice Age, and she starred with Ice Cube in Barbershop 2 and The Longshots.

Following the October 21st premiere of CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, the movie will be available for download exclusively on the all-new VH1 App for 7 days, starting on October 22 at 6AM ET.
