Jackie Christie's Recap Of The 'Basketball Wives LA' Finale: It Got Way Out Of Hand
During this season of Basketball Wives LA, the VH1 Blog is happy to have Jackie Christie guest blogging her thoughts to every episode of the show. This week, she reflects on the season finale, from her exciting cognac tasting to the dramatic fight between Brandi and Sundy. Read her opinions on what was said and how she feels now that the season is over (ALMOST --- tune in to the reunion next Monday at 8PM ET/PT!).
The season winds down as we continue our trip to Paris! Going to the region of Cognac was absolutely amazing, an experience I will never forget!
The journey has been long and educational to say the least, and to be able to go through the process of creating my new Cognac brand is a true blessing.
The countryside traveling out to Cognac was breathtaking and riding the express train to get there was even more mind-blowing! Seeing the villages and the people as we passed through are forever etched in my memory. :-)
So we arrived at the distillery and I was overwhelmed with joy. Wow! "I have finally arrived here," I thought to myself. It's been a long time coming and now the world would get to taste what I have created, a smooth sexy and tantalizing brand of Cognac. The barrels are so old and have housed the best cognac around, aging it to a point of bliss! I held back my tears of joy once my final product was presented, and the feeling was amazing!
Hearing the news from Brittish that she had received a surprise note and a gift from her fiance was fun! Riding over to the place, my heart was racing more so for Brittish, OMG! What was happening? Where were we going?!? We arrived and there's Lorenzo, Brittish's fiance, standing there waiting for his bride!
We cried, we laughed, we missed our guys, and we shared in their special ceremony and it was beautiful. Of course it was all short-lived because the girls still had unfinished business to get us all to the talking table, so watching Malaysia and Sundy walking in the park and discussing me was disheartening, as I'm a firm believer of "If you're friends, then you're friends," and that is it.
Arriving at breakfast, a.k.a. the beginning of the END! I was really hoping that we could have all had an A-HA moment and just buried the hatchet. But that was not to be, as the girls got into a huge verbal battle about tons of things and unfortunately it got way out of hand.
I'm truly sorry that not only the girls but also the viewers had to witness the insults between the ladies, and I'm sorry about what was said. In no way shape or form do I condone or agree with any of the comments, insults, name calling, or other disparaging words and behavior exchanged on either part.
I lost my mother to cancer recently and it is still and always will be a very tender and hard subject for me to discuss. My mother's name is Cora, she raised 9 children, she touched many lives around the world, and loved passionately. Her whole life, my mother was an angel; she took care of kids in the neighborhood and gave of herself every single day. My mother was and is my best friend, mentor, and queen. And I hurt for her as well as all the people suffering from or related to someone with cancer. It is a very ugly disease that I dedicate my life to helping to find a cure for. I pray for survivors of this deadly disease to continue to live in health, love, and strength.
This season has truly taught me a lot about friendships, teamwork, other cultures and countries, and more! I will forever be thankful and blessed!
Thank you for enjoying this journey of BBWLA3 with me and the entire cast!
